The question of the child's growth has always been the focus of discussion among parents
Especially now that the weather is getting warmer, mothers see babies born in the same month as their children in the community, but the height difference is obvious, and they can't help but get anxious.

In fact, the height of the children is individually different, as long as the height of the baby is within the normal range, there is no problem.
So why is there a difference in height between children? Is there a clear standard? Let's talk about these issues together
01
Why is there a difference in the height of the child?
To know if a child's height is normal, or to determine whether a child's height is in the normal range compared to his peers, you need to compare your child's height with the height of a normal healthy child of the same age and gender.
For this normal height comparison, parents can refer to the Mainland Ministry of Health's "Reference Standards for the Growth and Development of Children Under 7 Years of Age in China" and the Growth and Development Chart of the World Health Organization (WHO).
02
Do children of all ages have height standards?
According to the Mainland Ministry of Health's "Reference Standards for the Growth and Development of Children Under 7 Years of Age in China", the height data of children of different months of age are as follows:
0-5 female treasure height development curve chart
0-5 male treasure height development curve
Height development chart view instructions:
The child's height is measured every half a month from 0 to 6 months old, and the monitoring is done regularly every 3 months from 7 to 24 months old.
If it is below curve 3rd, it means that children whose growth and development are lower than 97% of the population may have developmental delay; if it is above the curve 97th, it means that children whose growth and development are higher than 97% of the population may be at risk of overgrowth.
The middle curve, 50th, represents the mean; the 15th and 85th curves represent different levels of the normal curve.
The normal value is the range covered by 3rd to 97th, as long as the child's growth curve and average curve are roughly on a horizontal line, it is normal, no need to worry about Oh~
03
How should I help my child grow taller?
If you want your child to grow tall, parents can exert efforts from four aspects: diet, exercise, sleep, and emotions.
Balanced nutrition
You can choose protein-rich foods (lean meats, shellfish, animal liver, fish and shrimp, eggs, milk), foods rich in calcium and phosphorus (milk, soy products), zinc-rich foods (fish, egg yolks, peanuts, walnuts, sesame nuts, etc.), and vitamin-rich vegetables and fruits.
· Proper exercise
Appropriate exercise can promote the development of children's bones, muscles, and joint ligaments, but pay attention to the combination of work and leisure. Choose from jump rope, swimming, jogging, ball games, pull-ups, rhythmics and other sports.
· Get enough sleep
Try to make your baby develop the good habit of going to bed early and getting up early, go to bed before 8.30 minutes every day, and fall asleep before 9 o'clock.
Generally, children aged 3 to 6 sleep 10 to 12 hours a day, 10 hours for elementary school students, 9 to 10 hours for junior high school students, and 8 to 9 hours for high school students.
Happy mood
Adequate sleep, patient companionship and communication can help keep your child's mood stable. Children's happy mood and height growth will naturally be much faster~
