The 2022 Winter Paralympic Winter Paralympic Villages in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou were officially opened on the 25th. On the first day of the village, more than 630 people from China, Italy, Sweden and other delegations stayed in three Winter Paralympic villages.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Village, during the entire Winter Paralympic Games, the Beijing Winter Paralympic Village is expected to receive 14 delegations, about 500 athletes and accompanying officials. In order to achieve "two Olympic Games are equally wonderful" and make the Winter Paralympic Games smooth and safe, the Beijing Winter Olympic Village completed the transition to the Winter Paralympic Village in 44 hours from 12 noon on February 23 to 8:00 a.m. on February 25.
The Beijing Winter Paralympic Village will provide meticulous services for "villagers" in all aspects of eating, living and traveling during the Winter Paralympic Games. Apartment buildings, fitness centers, entertainment centers, square areas and other areas have been transformed into facilities and equipment and temporary barrier-free facilities have been added; restaurants have re-planned dining seats and beverage placements, reserving more than 100 wheelchair seats; wheelchair prosthetic maintenance centers have been used in the square area; in terms of security and transportation, flexible security policies and procedures for the disabled have been formulated, and independent inspection rooms have been set up.
At present, 49 delegations have won the quota for the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, and more than 1,700 athletes and team officials are expected to stay in three Winter Paralympic villages.
