Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village is located in the core area of Zhangjiakou Competition Area, 10 minutes' drive from the ancient poplar tree stadium cluster to the south and 12 minutes' drive from Genting Ski Park in the north, covering an area of 19.7 hectares, with a total construction area of 239,000 square meters, divided into residential area, square area and operation area.
The reporter learned from the interview that since the pre-opening of the village on January 23 and the official opening of the village on January 27, Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village has received 59 national (regional) Olympic committee delegations, more than 2,200 athletes and accompanying officials to live and live. Since February 15, the relevant personnel have begun to return one after another, and the departure service provided by Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village has been highly praised by the delegations.
Jia Kai, deputy director of the Olympic Village Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and director of the Venue Operation Team of zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village, said that the venue operation team has always placed the preparations for the Winter Paralympic Games in an important position such as the Winter Olympic Games, and all departments and posts have made concerted efforts to achieve "two Winter Olympics, equally wonderful".
At present, in Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village, some buildings have been posted with winter Paralympic signs, and in the temporary buildings at the entrance of the village, a prosthetic wheelchair maintenance center is being opened. During the conversion period, Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village will comprehensively carry out the inspection of barrier-free facilities and equipment, increase the necessary Braille guidance signs and other conversion work; make necessary adjustments to functional spaces, streamlines, service facilities, etc.; activate orthosis, prosthetics and wheelchair maintenance centers; operate shuttle buses in the village; and carry out timely rectification, transformation and upgrading of barrier-free facilities and breakpoint problems.
Jia Kai introduced that in addition to the hardware conversion, the operation team also carried out winter Paralympic support training to ensure that the venue staff was fully prepared to serve the winter Paralympic athletes and team officials, understand the special needs of the Winter Paralympic Games and have a full work plan and resource preparation, laying a good foundation for the smooth and orderly development of the work.
Zhangjiakou Winter Paralympic Village will be pre-opened on February 25 and officially opened on February 27, and will receive more than 700 athletes and team officials during the competition. (End)
