"Aojiu Festival" is one of the important traditional festivals in the Shiyi area of Fuzhou, Fujian Province, on this day, every household must cook "Aojiu Porridge" to sacrifice ancestors or give relatives and friends, and women who have been married must also send porridge back to their mother's home to honor their parents, thus the "Aojiu Festival" extends into a festival of respect for the elderly and filial piety.
