At 11:40 a.m. on March 10, near the crown of qida village in Lianjiang County, Fuzhou, a tourist accidentally slipped and fell, resulting in a fractured right leg and calf and unable to walk. After receiving the alarm, the local fire department immediately organized rescue forces to rush to the scene.

Fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene and learned that the injured tourists were located two kilometers from Qiguanding Mountain, and firefighting vehicles could not drive to the mountain. It happened that an enthusiastic mass of people passed by, claiming to be a retired veteran military doctor. There were no medical bandages and ropes at the scene, and under the guidance of this enthusiastic crowd, fire rescue workers found two wooden boards, and a fire rescue worker removed his shoelaces to secure the splints. After the fixation was completed, rescuers carried the woman on a stretcher, transferred her down the mountain, and handed her over to medical staff for treatment.
