It is a rare and endangered plant under national second-level protection.

The original text of the poem records that one is in the Guanglufang Yuzhi Mountain, and the other is in the Lilac Book House of the Zheng House on Ximen Street, both of which are two or three hundred years old. However, it is regrettable that this and several other fringe trees in Guanglufang Yuzhishan later fell ill and died. The fringe tree in front of the Lilac Bookstore of the Zheng House on Ximen Street recorded in the poem is the fringe tree in front of his house, according to the poetry records, this fringe tree has a history of 300 or 400 years, and is the oldest fringe tree in Fuzhou.
