The car is BMW's first pure electric four-door sedan, built on the CLAR pure electric platform, equipped with the fifth generation BMW eDrive electric drive technology.

It is worth noting that in terms of design, the BMW i4 looks like the BMW 4 Series. The side lines of the body are smooth, the wind shroud design is added to the front fender, the hidden door handle, the overall design of the new rear is relatively simple, and the design of the light group on both sides is more recognizable.

In terms of size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4785/1852/1455mm, and a wheelbase of 2856mm, positioning itself as a mid-size sedan.

In the interior part, BMW i4 is also similar to the 4 series, using an integrated floating LCD central control screen, with a curved through-line dual screen layout of a 12.3-inch digital instrument, a curved through-line double screen, an electronic gear handle, a barrel-shaped sports seat, built-in the latest iDrive 8.0 information system, and a three-spoke M movement steering wheel.

In terms of configuration, the whole series is equipped with automatic headlights, collision prevention system, reversing radar, panoramic image, three-zone automatic air conditioning and other functions as standard, at the same time, the i4 M50 also adds M adaptive suspension, active cruise control and other configurations.

In terms of power, the BMW i4 eDrive 40 model has a maximum output of 250 kilowatts, which is a single-motor version, with an acceleration time of about 5.7 seconds per 100 kilometers, a minimum energy consumption of 14.7 kWh per 100 kilometers, and a cruising range of 625 kilometers under CLTC standards. The i4 M50 model is equipped with BMW's fifth-generation eDrive dual-motor drive system, with a maximum output of 400 kilowatts, a peak torque of 795 Nm, and an acceleration time of about 3.9 seconds per 100 kilometers. The CRUIC has a cruising range of up to 560 km/h under CLTC standards.
