Recently, the exhibition "Aiming to Travel in the Tao and Art- The Ideals, Life and Aesthetics of Ancient Chinese Scholars" is being held at the Nanshan Museum, relying on the rich collection resources of the National Museum of China, to exhibit a cultural feast. The exhibition runs until 10 April.

In the long course of history, the Chinese nation has emerged a large number of outstanding scholars and doctors such as Confucius, Cai Yong, the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest", Tao Yuanming, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Lin Zexu, etc. The cultural heritage they left behind not only provided rich nourishment for the Chinese nation, added colorful colors to Chinese civilization, but also contributed a colorful chapter to world civilization.

The exhibition selects 150 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics, divided into three parts: embracing the world, escaping the world and elegant art, through ancient Chinese bronzes, gold and silverware, porcelain, jade, stone carvings, furniture, calligraphy and paintings, books and other cultural relics, with "scholars" as the center, expressed under the influence of Confucian traditional culture, their highest life ideals of "self-cultivation, family unity, governance, and peace in the world", as well as the spiritual pursuit and artistic aesthetics reflected in the emphasis on personal cultivation and cultivation of temperament. These elegant tastes are not only the interpretation of their lifestyles, aesthetic attitudes and philosophical ideas, but also an integral part of China's excellent traditional culture.

Among them, the collections from the National Museum of China, such as the Ming Wanli 40th Year Township Examination Paper and the Erpin Civilian Official Supplementary Clothing, respectively present how to enter the Shishi from the two aspects of examination mechanism and clothing, as well as the changes in clothing after entering the Shi.

Seclusion is the cultural and spiritual tradition of ancient Chinese literati and doctors. Away from the hustle and bustle, wandering between the mountains and rivers, or ploughing the southern acres, poetic inhabitation, or pillow stone gargling, springs and cranes. It can be seen from the fan of the "Gaoshi GuanHe Tu" created by Ren Kaoru in the fifth year of Qing Guangxu.

In China's cultural tradition, nature is closely related to man. Reverence for nature, living in harmony with nature, and eventually reaching the state of "the unity of heaven and man" is the traditional Chinese concept of nature. The so-called "Wise Man Leshui, Benevolent Leshan Mountain", Mingshan Xiushui is not only a beautiful natural landscape, but also the spiritual home of literati doctors. The red flowers and green leaves are intentional, and the birds and grass insects are affectionate. In addition to watching, it makes people feel a little bit of the heart of the city, and the pastoral meaning gradually becomes cute.

In the Ming Dynasty, Chen Hongshou created the "Lotus Lake Stone Map" axis, the Qing Dynasty Daoguang years Lin Zexu handwritten "Youhua mountain poems" volume and other works are exhibited in the exhibition, it can be said that the ancient Chinese literati doctor expressed his feelings about life in the way of poetry and ink, flowers, birds, fish and insects have also been endowed with aesthetic significance and ideological emotions, becoming the ideal object of "attachment and allegory".
