On January 16th, "Guozi Cultural Context - Successive Jinshi Culture and Art Joint Exhibition" opened in the noon gate exhibition hall of the Palace Museum. The exhibition is hosted by the Palace Museum, Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Exchange Center, Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum.

With the main purpose of inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting the traditional Chinese virtues, "Guozi Cultural Context - Successive Generations of Jinshi Culture and Art Joint Exhibition" selects 179 important works of the Jinshi group since the Tang Dynasty, and displays the extraordinary achievements made by outstanding figures in philosophy, classics, history, literature and art, as well as their immortal contributions to the prosperity and development of Chinese civilization through the theme units of "The Road to Jinshi", "Erudite Hongru" and "Art Garden Qunying".

The Paper saw at the scene that the exhibition was mainly presented in the Noon Gate of the Palace Museum and the exhibition hall of the Yanyi Tower, and the exhibition content was mainly calligraphy and painting, supplemented by interstitials and porcelain related to the theme of "Wuzi Dengke".

Wang Xudong, member of the leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and president of the Palace Museum, Du Haijiang, secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Palace Museum, Wang Chenyang, director of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Zheng Shaoliang, deputy director of the Office of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Chen Mingjie, secretary of the party group and director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Relics, Hu Changmiao, secretary of the board of directors of China Construction Bank Co., Ltd., Wang Bingsong, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager of CCTV.com, Xu Zhe, general manager of Beijing Cultural Investment and Development Group, and members of the leadership team of the Palace Museum attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Du Haijiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Palace Museum, said that the holding of this exhibition, by telling the story of cultural relics full of family and country feelings and reflecting the family style of tutors, enables the audience to fully understand the interrelationship of "self-cultivation, unity of family, governance of the country, and peace in the world" in Chinese culture, and knows the reasons for the "family and country feelings" of Chinese people since ancient times, as well as the responsibility of "the sound of wind and rain reading books in the ears, family affairs and state affairs and the world's affairs".

In recent years, the Palace Museum has adhered to integrity and innovation, and through strong alliances with various institutions, jointly tell the stories behind cultural relics, make cultural relics come alive, promote the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture, and help the capital Beijing to build a cultural capital and museum city.

In this exhibition, the Palace Museum, Beijing Cultural Relics Exchange Center, Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum jointly provided a cultural feast for the general public, tapped cultural potential, promoted cultural exchanges and cooperation, and made positive contributions to the capital's cultural and museum undertakings and the construction of a national cultural center.

"Guozi Cultural Context - Successive Jinshi Culture and Art Joint Exhibition" will be exhibited simultaneously in the main hall of the Noonday Gate of the Palace Museum and the exhibition hall of the Dongyan wing, the Confucius Temple and the Art Hall of the Guozijian Museum, from January 17 to April 2, 2023.
