Accompanying Puyi to ride and play, grandpa told about his experience in the Forbidden City

When I was cleaning up the house recently, I finally found a small wooden box that my grandfather had left me.

The small wooden box exudes a faint aroma. It's older than me, and it's an object from my grandfather's youth, probably for my grandmother's jewelry. When I was a child, I saw my grandfather take it and put it in the household registration book, the grain book, the food stamp and so on.

On the small wooden box, there is a delicate small hangtag, which is estimated to be rarely seen. It silently witnesses a piece of history in the past and the vicissitudes of the past years.

Today, this little sign is 100 years old.

Grandpa was on an errand in the Forbidden City, and it was a pass to enter the Forbidden City. When my grandfather was about seventeen or eighteen, he was recommended by his elders to enter the Forbidden City, and his job was to play with Puyi. This errand seems dashing now.

Pu Yi was young at that time, and he had a lot of fun, and there were many eunuchs in the palace, but the rules were also big, and he could not accompany the emperor to laugh and play casually. Therefore, some young people with family backgrounds were recruited to enter the palace to play with the emperor.

Grandpa entered the palace at that time. The sign on which he entered the palace was engraved with the work number, and when he entered the Donghua Gate, he took it off and handed it to the guard for inspection before he could enter.

The days after grandpa entered the palace should be mixed with sorrow and joy. Happily, there are also fixed clothes for full food, and you can also play. Sadly, Puyi is a strange and moody person. As soon as he was unhappy, he scolded the people below without mercy.

This group of children waited for the emperor every day with their noses raised and trembling, even if they were playing together. As for what to play and how to play, grandpa did not elaborate. It was only said that the emperor loved to ride a bicycle, and in order to run amok in the palace, it seemed that he had sawed the threshold of a certain palace.

Puyi's bicycles are made in Germany. After riding, he gave it to his playmates to let them ride as well, and gave them maintenance. So, my grandfather later rode a bike and was also good at repairing bicycles.

Puyi's bicycle.

In Puyi's book, he once wrote about two German wolf dogs, one of whom was named Fergo. It is the emperor's favorite and is carried everywhere.

In 1922, Puyi and Runqi were in front of the back hall of the Yangxin Hall.

Once, Puyi Wenming lost a copper ring on the stick, and ordered these playmates to look for it, but if they couldn't find it, they couldn't escape being beaten. Frightened, everyone hates to turn over the Royal Garden!

And then, Brother Fergo came, and my grandfather led it around, and finally found it next to a rockery. Brother Fu and my grandfather made meritorious achievements, the emperor was happy, and everyone was happy, at least to avoid a beating. Later, it seemed that I had rewarded my grandfather with something to eat, but my grandfather was not willing to eat it, saying that he took it home to honor the old man.

Puyi's playmates are mainly concentrated in the imperial garden, and they cannot enter and exit at will elsewhere, otherwise eating sticks is certain.

It's still like that, right? I don't know if it was taught by the legendary Ouchi master.

On the north side of the imperial garden, there is a bungalow, which seems to be called Beigosho (I don't remember exactly), which is where these poor hearing children work. Without the emperor's instructions, these people must be honest inside, practicing words, reading books, and so on. Sometimes, someone sneaks out of the house to relax, but they don't dare to run far.

Puyi's playmate in the imperial garden

There is a rockery called Duixu in the imperial garden, and there is a room on it. Legend has it that there is a half-room room in the Forbidden City, which refers to this one. This room was also the place where the emperor had been. But whether it was to rest and eat tea when tired of playing, or to read and write, my grandfather did not mention.

Wanrong was also young at that time, loved to play and lively, and often walked around the imperial garden. She will also accompany Puyi to ride and walk her dog.

The last empress, Wanrong, learned to ride a bicycle in the Forbidden City.

When Wanrong went out, she didn't hug back and forth like she did on TV, there was not so much battle, and there were not so many people accompanying her. At most, two or three little girls followed.

But on the waist of the graceful face, there must be a belt, and several small delicates are worn on it, and it clangs when walking. This is to inform everyone, the mother is coming, the one who should hide, the one who should let go, and cannot meet head-on! Even if you really can't dodge, you must immediately kneel on the ground, bow your head, and never look up. Wait until the bell is far away before you can get up.

Wanrong's temper is much better than that of the emperor. Pu Yi played with the children, and she sat and watched. She also enjoys playing a game similar to eagle and chicken. She also often asked people to send some snacks and fruits to the little errands, and everyone was very grateful to her.

Wanrong also likes to raise animals, especially dogs. It was recorded in the "Narrative of the Qing Palace" that there were hundreds of dogs in the Forbidden City.

Once, Wan Rong ordered someone to send a model of a foreign building. This model is very good-looking, everyone likes it, and they look around every day. Later, a child accidentally broke the window of a model building, only to discover that it was glass made of sugar. So, everyone had the courage to cut off the glass and eat it. No matter how much it is a child, the delicacy on the tip of the tongue cannot help but be tempted.

When I was a child, I heard my grandfather say that Wanrong looked very dignified, and she wore different clothes, what to wear. Wanrong's waist is thin, as thin as a kettle (my old kettle).

When I'm old enough to use a ruler, a kettle, guess what? One foot six! When I was in middle school, my waist was also this size. So, when I was fine, I tied the wrapped leather around my waist, tied a small rope, and without Linglong, I used my mouth, walked a step and jingled the bell myself, pretending to be a mother-in-law and twisting.

The first time I saw My First Half of My Life, there were pictures of her in the book, and I thought she was simply beautiful. My grandfather said that she herself looks better than the photo! It is a pity that the red face and thin life, to the death of the corpse is gone, but it is a pity that the talented woman is like a flower with a bad life, and the barren hills are buried red.

The last emperors and empresses were photography enthusiasts.

Grace is still quite Peugeot.

Within a few years of my grandfather being in the palace, Puyi was forced to flee to Zhangyuan in Tianjin. At that time, he brought a small entourage with him, and his grandfather did not agree to leave Beijing because of his young age, so he did not follow the royal family north. It is also thanks to not going, otherwise it will also be wrapped up in the northeast, what the end, history has already told us.

But no matter what, every little person is a small flower in history. Every bloom has its taste and brilliance.

My grandfather's elders

My grandfather's name is Wu Deliang, alias Songshou, a rat, born on the first day of the eighth lunar month in 1900 and died on the fourth day of the first lunar month in 1978. His elders are also from Beijing and live in Xiaoliangmaqiao, outside Dongzhimen. I heard my father say that our family belongs to Han Baqi. In the past, there were Manba Flags and Han Eight Flags. Han Baqi is basically Han Chinese, just doing things for the imperial court.

My grandfather

My grandfather's elders (my father called him grandpa) were the chief stewards of the palace Shengping Office. It was for Empress Dowager Cixi to manage the opera team. Lafayette loves to listen to plays, and loves to listen to Yang Xiaolou's plays. Whenever Lafayette wanted to listen to a play, he called the people of the Shengping Department to arrange the performance according to the script and horn she ordered. The performance is in the autumn, because the autumn air is high and refreshing, and the singing people who listen to the play are not tired.

The grandfather who was the chief steward was also a figure with a head and a face, so he also stood in the room and lay on the ground at that time. It is said that the area from Dongwai to Xinyuanli used to be called Erligou, and there were many shops on one street, all of which were opened by grandfathers. Unfortunately, in the end, all the defeat was on opium, and the Wanguan family capital was drained, this is a later story.

I heard my father say that the eldest grandfather is a eunuch, so he can do things close to Lafayette. But the eldest grandfather later had little communication with his family, and he had an eccentric temper, so he rarely heard stories of sluggishness. I still haven't figured out the origin of the sluggish, so I heard my father call grandpa that, and I just said it. In fact, it should be called Lao Zuer.

My father also accidentally mentioned the history of the family, only to learn that there were still characters in the ancestors, and he was shocked. I wanted to know more, but my father seemed to be secretive and didn't want to talk about it. I just said that when I was a child, I saw my elders take back many swords, guns, halberds, axes, hooks and forks used on the stage, and throw them all into the dry well at the door and bury them. Because the house rules are very strict, children are not allowed to talk nonsense and inquire, so my father never dares to ask. But extremely impressed.

When my grandfather entered the palace, it was recommended by my grandfather. Today, Grandpa has been an ancient man for 43 years. If the old man wants to live, how many good stories should be nourished!
