Soon, they arrived at the designated airspace, at this time, Xu Yongling seemed to hear the order of the long machine to "30 afterburners", so he reacted quickly. In fact, at this time, the long plane did not issue instructions.
Because there were other fighters in the high altitude at that time completing the same subject, he mistakenly heard the "36 afterburner" issued by another formation captain as "30 after-force." As a result, Xu Yongling's J-6 quickly rushed straight to the long machine in front. At that time, the pilot of the long plane was Zhu Guangcai, deputy commander of the test flight regiment, who was surprised when he found an abnormality in the radar and wanted to fly the plane to avoid it. But it was too late. Xu Yongling's fighter had already crashed into the long-engine fuselage.
Suddenly, with a "bang", Xu Yongling's plane spun rapidly in the air, and he instinctively pushed the steering lever forward, but it had no effect. By this time one-third of the left flank of his fighter had been broken, and the fighter was rapidly falling to the ground.
Xu Yongling did not dare to delay, and did not hesitate to catapult parachute. Subsequently, he found that Zhu Guangcai, who was piloting the long plane, had also parachuted almost at the same time, and at this time he found that the damage to the long plane was more serious, and Zhu Guangcai also chose to parachute after the fighter got out of control.
