This also means that the license plate delivery threshold for plug-in hybrid models in Shanghai is now quite high, first of all, it must have a private fixed parking space that can install charging piles, and secondly, it must have no car under its name, which is very difficult for most car buyers now.
In addition to restricting the sending of plates, the Shanghai Municipal Government has also made it clear that from January 1, 2023, the plug-in models will no longer enjoy any licensing policy. Although this matter has been predicted by many people, when it is actually announced, it still feels a little difficult to accept.
At present, there is no change in the license policy for pure electric vehicles, but after 2023, the increase in the threshold of free green cards will become an inevitable trend, and in the future, whether the green card can pass unimpeded like the blue card is also a question worth thinking about. The price of blue cards in Shanghai has exceeded 90,000 yuan, and the green card that did not spend a penny to obtain and the blue card of 90,000 yuan shared the right of way, which also made many consumers feel unacceptable, and perhaps in the future there will be a separate restriction policy on green cards.
