Recently, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government issued the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region 2022 Adhere to steady progress in promoting high-quality industrial development policy list" (hereinafter referred to as the "List"), proposing to support the construction of charging infrastructure, arrange 200 million yuan of special debt, and support the construction of new energy vehicle charging stations (piles) and fuel cell hydrogen refueling stations. This year, 348 new charging (replacing) electric piles will be built in the highway service area, passenger terminal station and bus station in the whole district.

The "List" makes it clear that the orderly elimination of diesel old vehicles below the third national level, the use of new energy heavy trucks in all new or updated vehicles; the promotion of the electrification of public sector vehicles, the use of new energy vehicles for new and updated urban bus vehicles, express logistics and distribution vehicles, party and government organs and public service agencies vehicles, taxis, online car-hailing in the field of new energy vehicles accounted for not less than 30%.

Inner Mongolia will incorporate independently occupied public charging and swapping power stations into the detailed planning of national land space; clarify the land supply methods and processes according to the land used by public utility business outlets, and support the construction of public charging and swapping power stations in the form of leased land.

The "List" proposes to optimize the layout of charging facilities in expressway service areas, tourist attractions of 4A level and above, and self-driving caravan camps, and build a pair of charging facilities in the highway service areas opened for operation in Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, and Wulanchabu areas of no more than 100 kilometers; improve the management and maintenance level of public charging stations (piles) that have been built in expressway service areas, ensure that the availability rate of charging piles is not less than 95%, and support the reduction of charging facility operating costs through cooperative operations and other models.

In recent years, Inner Mongolia has accelerated the promotion and application of new energy and clean energy transportation equipment, and last year, 98.8% of new and updated buses and clean energy vehicles were added, and 569 new charging facilities were added. By the end of last year, the share of green travel in the central urban area of the autonomous region reached 60%.
