No wonder there were three brothers who took the sutra, only Sun Wukong became a Buddha, and guanyin gave him something

The great cause of learning from the scriptures is not only to fight and kill, but also to have the element of human sophistication.

The formation of the team reflects the sophistication of people.

Are there any members of the team who are really grassroots? Not a single one. As the core of the team, Tang Monk needless to say, in the past life, it was the second disciple of Rulai, Jin Cicada, even if he served as a white dragon horse with foot power, he was also from an aristocratic origin, and he was the third prince of the West Sea Dragon King.

As for the three bodyguards, Sun Wukong, the Eight Precepts of the Pig, and the Sha Monk, all of them have prominent backgrounds, one is the Qi Tian Dasheng who makes a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, one is a high-powered canopy marshal, and the other is a high-ranking roller blind general.

When the team arrived at Lingshan and successfully obtained the True Scriptures, when they came to discuss the rewards of merit and deeds, they actually reflected a certain degree of human sophistication.

The Tang monks are the best footnotes. Although it has been arduous to learn the scriptures, the deeds of the Tang monks in the original work are actually not as great as people think, but because he is rulai's second disciple, he was finally named by rulai as a Buddha of Merit.

No wonder there were three brothers who took the sutra, only Sun Wukong became a Buddha, and guanyin gave him something

If the Tang monks can become Buddhas because of their background, then all three of them can become Buddhas, because their status in the heavenly court can all be against the Buddhas of the Buddhist group.

But as you know, only one of the three brothers of the Sutra Master became a Buddha, and he was Sun Wukong, who was named a Fighting Buddha by Rulai. The Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk are only bodhisattvas, namely the Bodhisattva of the Pure Altar messenger and the Golden Arhat Bodhisattva, respectively.

So, why is sun wukong the only one of the three brothers who have become a Buddha?

The Eight Precepts of the Pig have questioned Rulai about this issue. After Rulai sealed Tang Monk and Sun Wukong as Buddhas, and then added the Eight Precepts of the Pig as messengers of the Pure Altar, the Eight Precepts of the Pig were quite dissatisfied, and asked: "Why do they all become Buddhas, but only let me be a messenger of the Pure Altar?" ”

Rulai's answer obviously shifts the subject. He said, "The Pure Altar Messenger manages the Spirit Mountain Sacrifice, but it is a useful grade, and you have a wide intestine, isn't it good to be a Pure Altar Messenger?" ”

The question of the Eight Precepts of the Pig is why he is not allowed to become a Buddha, but rulai's answer is that the messenger of the pure altar is a useful grade, but can't he be a Buddha?

This answer obviously does not satisfy the Eight Precepts of the Pig (the Eight Precepts of the Pig immediately smiled when he heard Rulai's explanation, and this plot was fabricated from the film and television drama and did not match the original work).

No wonder there were three brothers who took the sutra, only Sun Wukong became a Buddha, and guanyin gave him something

In fact, the question of why the Eight Precepts of the Pig cannot become a Buddha, if you add the Eight Precepts of the Pig, has already been explained very clearly.

Ru Lai said at that time: "The Eight Precepts of the Pig entered wushamen, and the holy monk was on the road, but he had a stubborn heart and a heart that was not lost." ”

Is the evaluation objective? Very objective. Friends who have watched "Journey to the West" all know that the Eight Precepts of the Pig are greedy for money and lustful, the will to learn the scriptures is very unstable, and they want to break up when they encounter difficulties.

Since the performance of the Eight Precepts of the Pig is so unsatisfactory, how can rulai make him a Buddha?

As for why sha monk could not become a Buddha, although he was determined, his performance was average, and he did not kill a few demons, making it difficult for him to become a Buddha.

On the other hand, Sun Wukong is not only determined, but also has outstanding performance, and of course he must be named a Buddha.

No wonder there were three brothers who took the sutra, only Sun Wukong became a Buddha, and guanyin gave him something

However, this is actually not the fundamental reason for "three brothers who take the scriptures, only Sun Wukong can become a Buddha", the crux of the problem is, why is Sun Wukong determined and outstanding, while the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk, one weak will, one average performance? Is it really because of the low strength of the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk?

The fundamental reason is that Guanyin Bodhisattva gave Sun Wukong one thing, while the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk did not.

This thing is the tight hoop. Yes, Guanyin Bodhisattva put a tight hoop on Sun Wukong's head, originally intended to restrain him, but objectively, it increased the motivation for Sun Wukong to learn the scriptures, because Sun Wukong knew very well that only by successfully obtaining the true scriptures could he take off the tight hoops on his head.

On the other hand, the Eight Precepts of the Pig and the Sand Monk, because there is no tight constraint, there is no yearning for the success of taking the scriptures, and the performance will naturally not be as positive as Sun Wukong, especially the Eight Precepts of the Pig, doing a day monk and hitting the clock for a day, the performance will naturally not be as prominent as Sun Wukong.

The story of the three brothers tells us that it is not necessarily a bad thing for a person to be bound by some constraints in life.
