"The upper council has its own old rules, please are the Western Heavenly Buddha, Bodhisattva, Holy Monk, Arhat, South Antarctic Guanyin, Eastern Chong'en Saint Emperor, Ten Continents and Three Islands Immortal, Northern Arctic Xuanling, Central Yellow Pole Yellow Horn Great Immortal, this is the Five Directions and Five Elders."

The seven-clothed fairy actually speaks very exquisitely, first outside and then inside, in the list of guests of the peach club, the three Qing and four emperors are lined up behind the five parties and five elders, but it is also normal, after all, the three Qing and four emperors are sitting at the home of the Heavenly Court.

The five directions and five elders cover five directions, of which the Western direction is the Buddha, so who does this Buddha refer to?

Many people think that the most powerful person in the Western Heavens is the Buddha of Rulai, and naturally this Buddha is referring to him, but in fact, it is not. The Buddha here actually refers not to the Buddha of Rulai, but to the ancient Buddha who burned the lamp.

Because when the Peach Festival in the Heavenly Garden was preparing to be held, the Buddha was still in Lingshan, but the ancient Buddha who burned the lamp had already arrived, and was still talking to the Taishang Laojun about the scriptures:

"It turned out that the old man and the ancient Buddha who burned the lamp preached on the Zhuling Dan platform on the three-story high pavilion, and all the fairy children, immortal generals, immortal officials, and immortal officials stood around to listen to the lecture."

Some people say no, the Lantern Ancient Buddha did not come to participate in the Peach Festival, but to participate in the Danyuan Conference!

In fact, people with a little bit of official knowledge know that the Queen Mother and the Jade Emperor are preparing for the Peach Festival, but Taishang Laojun is pulling a group of people to open the Danyuan Conference?

Moreover, at each peach conference, Sanqing is the protagonist, is it too shang Laojun to leave the lamp ancient Buddha to attend the meeting by himself?

Some people say, no, later when Sun Wukong made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, the Jade Emperor explicitly proposed to go to the Western Heavens to ask the Buddha to come and lower the demon, doesn't this Buddha mean the Buddha?

At that time, the gods held the Great Sage in one place, but they could not get close, and they shouted and fought wildly, and they had already alarmed the Jade Emperor. Therefore, it was instructed that you Yi Lingguan and Yi Shengzhenjun would go to the West and ask the Buddha to surrender. ”

This Buddha does refer to the Buddha of Rulai, because at this time he has achieved a counterattack and become the most shining Buddha on the Spirit Mountain. This is already similar to an honorific title, when Director Wang did not retire, everyone called Elder Wang, and when Deputy Director Li came to power, everyone called Elder Li again.

Sun Wukong saw One of the Three Qings, Taishang Laojun, and also called out "Lao Qi" kindly, the reason is actually the same.

"See Sanqing called a 'old' word, and every fourth emperor said 'Your Majesty'. With the nine obsidian stars, the five generals, the twenty-eight houses, the four heavenly kings, the twelve yuanchen, the five parties and five elders, the universal astrology, and the gods of the River and Han, they only treat each other as brothers and call each other. ”

If the Buddha was one of the Five Elders of the Five Directions, then he was called a brother and a brother to Sun Wukong, who became the Great Sage of Qi Tian, so how could he not know him when they met later?

"You are the good soldier who dared to stop the sword soldier from asking me?"

Moreover, the Jade Emperor was not stupid, knowing that these gods and immortals in the Heavenly Court were all brothers and brothers with Sun Wukong, so they kept releasing water. This time, he didn't use the gods of the heavenly court, but he sent a message to let people go to the Spirit Mountain to invite the "good brother" of the monkey, such as the Buddha, was not stupid?

It can be said that the Buddha's surrender to Sun Wukong was his first appearance in the heavenly court, which can be described as a full show.

At the Antian Assembly, the other immortals truly saw the strength of the Buddha's mana, and they would come together one by one to pray and offer gifts:

"Feeling like immeasurable mana, subdue the demon monkey." The Great Heavenly Emperor set up a feast to call, and I waited for chen to thank you. ”

Since the Buddha rulai was highly powerful and was currently the head of the Lingshan Mountain, why was it that even Guanyin Bodhisattva was invited to participate in the Peach Festival, but he was not qualified to participate?

"Words South Sea Putuo Luojia Mountain Great Compassion Great Compassion Relief Inspiration Guanyin Bodhisattva, since the Queen Mother Niangniang invited to the Peach Assembly, with the great disciple Hui An Walker, the same as the Treasure Pavilion Yaochi ..."

And what was the Buddha doing at this time?

As we mentioned earlier in an issue, the Buddha was actually sitting on the Lingshan Mountain to prevent the position of the leader from being taken away by others.

When the Jade Emperor sent someone to lingshan to invite the Buddha, the Buddha had actually just taken the position of the head of the house. Or maybe he had just encountered a challenge from other gods and Buddhas to the position of the leader of the Lingshan Mountain, and although he had suppressed it, he was still in the stage of instability, so he needed to form a legal formation to maintain the Lingshan regime:

"Ru waited here to sit firmly in the Dharma Hall, and Hugh had to mess up his Zen position, waiting for me to refine the demons and save the car."

When the Buddha was leaving, he specifically instructed the gods and Buddhas to sit in their places and use their mana to protect the Spirit Mountain. Even when he returned to Lingshan after he was finished, he never went down the mountain again, and it took five hundred years to consolidate his power:

"Since the ambush of the ape and the antian, I do not know the year and month, and it is expected that there will be half a thousand years in the mortal world."

This also shows that Lingshan is actually suffering from a disaster, but the details behind this are not so easy to dig out.

At the Anten Assembly, when the birthday star offered gifts to the Buddha, he once wrote a poem:

"Lotus Lotus Jindan offers Shakya, such as long life like Hengsha." Qingping Yongle Three-Fold Brocade, Kangtai Changsheng Nine Pin Flowers. There is no phase in the true Dharma Lord, and the celestial heaven is the Immortal Family. Qiankun and the earth are called ancestors, and the six golden bodies of Zhangliu are blessed with birthday credit. ”

The birthday star is also called the South Pole Immortal, the South Pole Star King, in the Wuzhuang Temple, Sun Wukong once asked him for help, he said that he was the Sect of Immortals, which showed the high status. In fact, the Antarctic Immortal is likely to be the Antarctic God of the last Five Directions and Five Elders, and the South China Sea Guanyin is actually the last to catch up.

Since it is the title of Antarctic Immortal, and the word Antarctic is specifically mentioned, then why does he live in Penglaixian Island in the East China Sea?

From the fact that he later chased after Guanyin in the South China Sea, it can be seen that in fact, either he took the initiative to resign to Guanyin Bodhisattva, or he was dismissed by the Heavenly Court and gave the position of Southern Gangster to Guanyin Bodhisattva. Otherwise, why would he follow the dharma of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the matter of the reincarnation of the Golden Cicada?

"I am the King of the South Pole Star, and I am under the command of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and I hereby send this son to you."

However, since Guanyin Bodhisattva is one of the five elders of the five parties, why as a big man, even if you add the Antarctic Immortal, plus the two subordinates of hui'an messenger and the pearl dragon girl, there is also a mount golden retriever and a small pet goldfish, how can this strength maintain peace on one side?

Moreover, at the king of the Golden and Silver Horns of Pingding Mountain, in the face of the woodcutter who was on duty to report the letter, Sun Wukong said:

"If it is a heavenly demon, xie and the jade emperor; if it is a earth demon, it is a solution to the tufu." The West returns to the Buddha, and the East returns to holiness. The solution and true martial arts in the north, the solution and fire virtue in the south. ”

So, what does Sun Wukong mean by this sentence?

That is to say, whether it is a monster in every place or a god or a god, it is all managed by someone. And it is the five parties and five elders in charge, the Buddha in the west in the management, the eastern Guisheng, and the north is the Zhenwu Emperor, which is all right, but the south is not guanyin bodhisattva in the management, but it is the fire and virtue star king.

This also shows that in fact, the status of Guanyin Bodhisattva's five parties and five elders is not so solid, at least some of the power is not completely in his own hands.

This is also very easy to understand, why Guanyin Bodhisattva ran east and west, one moment ran to the Great Tang Xian spirit in the Southern Ganbu Continent, one moment ran to the Heavenly Court to ask for a favor for the little white dragon, the next moment ran to the Spirit Mountain for a meeting, and the next moment found Taishang Laojun to gamble a bottle...

Her performance of such hard work is actually to show that she is very strong and can completely control the South.

Of course, as one of the five elders of the five parties, it is necessary to need its own armed forces, otherwise, the status is really not guaranteed. Therefore, she will deliberately withhold two of the three hoops given by the Buddha, and give them to the black bear essence and the red child respectively, which is actually a manifestation of her consolidation of power.

Of course, not only is Guanyin Bodhisattva consolidating power and position, but in fact, the Buddha is also consolidating power and status.

Returning to the poem written by Shou Xing just now, he deliberately mentioned that the Buddha of Rulai was "called the ancestor of qiankun and the earth, and the sixth golden body is blessed with shou credit", why did he deliberately mention this?

The people on the qiankun land all called Rulai the Buddha, and he had successfully cultivated the six golden bodies. In fact, this sentence is more like asking the Heavenly Court for an official proof, proving that the current Rulai Buddha has the strength to control the Spirit Mountain, and he is the head of the Spirit Mountain.

The Buddha was indeed interested, and when he saw that the Heavenly Court had given himself such a chance to show his face, he did not forget to pat the Jade Emperor's ass:

"You are a monkey who has become a spirit, and dares to deceive your heart and want to seize the throne of the Jade Emperor God?" He practiced since he was a child and endured 1,750 hardships. Every robbery shall be twelve thousand nine thousand six hundred years. ”

At the beginning of the book "Journey to the West", it is mentioned that 129,600 years old is one yuan, and the one yuan is divided into twelve associations, which will be named after zi, ugly, yin, 卯, 辰, 巳:

"Five thousand four hundred years old, at the beginning of the rendezvous, it will be dark, and the characters in the two rooms will be nothing, so it is called chaos." Another five thousand four hundred years old... Five thousand four hundred years old again... Therefore, he was born in Yin. ”

That is to say, from the beginning of chaos to the birth of mankind, even the first catastrophe of the Jade Emperor has not passed, if it were not for the Buddha blowing bubbles, then it would only be able to sigh the Jade Emperor's cow, it is estimated that the dinosaurs cultivated into a great god.

For example, the Buddha's QuaYu Emperor was naturally also to elevate himself, after all, at this time, he had just seized the position of the head of the Spirit Mountain.

Don't think that the Spirit Mountain is a monolith, all listen to the Buddha, of course not!

When he was about to cultivate into the Six Zhangs Golden Body, there were already other forces that were about to move, such as the peacock:

"When the peacock is born, it is the most evil, it can eat people, and it sucks people up forty-five miles." I was on the top of a snowy mountain, cultivating a golden body, and he had already sucked me down. ”

Although the peacock had already flown over very hard, it was still one step too late, and it did not stop the Buddha from cultivating into a six-zhang golden body. This also led to a great increase in his strength, and even began to challenge the position of the previous leader of Lingshan.

About this plot, in fact, it is quite obscure, remember the rebirth of Nezha in "Journey to the West"?

In Journey to the West, the reason why Nezha can be reborn is not Taiyi Zhenren, but a Buddha. When he was in the bottomless pit, Sun Wukong discovered that the golden-nosed white-haired rat spirit was the dry daughter of Li Tianwang, so he went to the heavenly court. When Sun Wukong was talking to Nezha, Li Tianwang's tower was not held in his hand, and he broke out in a cold sweat and mentioned Nezha's life:

"When the Buddha saw it, he knew that it was the soul of Nezha, that is, the green lotus root was a bone, and the lotus leaf was a garment, and he recited the mantra of returning from the dead to life, and Nezha was killed."

More importantly, after the Buddha saved Nezha, he connived at him:

"The Ninety-Six Cave Demons of the Fa descended, and they had great powers, and later they wanted to kill the Heavenly King and avenge the bone removal."

Let's take a look, is it that after teaching Sun Wukong to Bodhi Grandmaster, he went to the Fa to lower the Seventy-two Cave Demon King, the same recipe, the same taste?

This Buddha saved Nezha, and then asked this Nezha to kill Li Tianwang, and then Li Tianwang also found Lingshan for help:

"The Heavenly King was helpless and begged me to come as a Buddha."

From this we can see that the Buddha who saved Nezha and the Buddha who saved Li Tianwang must not be the same person, but the two of them are actually in a competitive relationship. You must know that after the peacock swallowed Rulai, Rulai was going to kill the peacock, but was dissuaded by the Buddhas:

"If you want to hurt his life, when you are persuaded by the Buddhas, you will hurt the peacock as if you hurt my mother, so I will leave him at the Spirit Mountain Meeting and make him the Bodhisattva of the Peacock King of the Buddha."

This also shows that in Lingshan, Buddhas who have different views from the Buddha of Rulai also exist, and there are also many contradictions and struggles between them.

So, where did the Buddha who once saved Nezha go?

He was surrendered by the Buddha of Rulai, and then sealed him in the Ruyi Pagoda, so that Nezha no longer dared to act rashly:

"If you come to be peaceful, give him a golden pagoda with exquisite clarity and clarity, and the upper layer of the pagoda has a Buddha, bright and bright. Summoning Nezha to take the Buddha as his father explains the grievances. ”

In the process of the Buddha's surrender to the Golden-winged Roc Bird, he took all the armed forces of the Spirit Mountain with him:

"I saw the three Buddha statues of the past, the future, and the presence, as well as the five hundred arhats and the three thousand revelation gods, scattered around and surrounded the three demon kings, and the water was not clear."

According to common sense, at this time, the lion essence, the elephant essence and the roc bird should be tied up, in the face of the hesitation of the other two monsters, what did the roc bird say?

"The eldest brother Hugh was terrified, and we all stepped forward together, knocking the gun and knife down, and snatching his thunderous treasure brake!"

This means that as long as the Roc Bird is strong enough, it can take away the Thunder Sound Treasure Brake of the Buddha. Thinking about it from another angle, that is, as long as the Buddha is strong enough, he may also have taken away someone else's Thunder Treasure Brake.

Moreover, after Dapeng Bird said this, Ming Ming Manjushri and Puxian Bodhisattva were on the scene, but the two old devils were still on:

"This demon head did not realize that he had fallen, and he really raised his sword and slashed it, but Manjushri and Puxian recited the mantra and shouted, 'This evil beast is not yet converted, and it is even more important to be born!'" Scare the old monster, the second monster, do not dare to hold up..."

This also shows that in the eyes of the lion spirit and the white elephant spirit, their masters Manjushri and Puxian have the possibility of rebelling against the Buddha. If the masters did not recite the mantra, they would really dare to go up and cut the Buddha, and perhaps they could still make a contribution.

This also shows that in the Spirit Mountain, the Buddha did not completely control the situation, and his prestige had not yet reached the point of utterance.

In fact, not only did the roc birds disrespect the Buddha, but even the mount of Guanyin Bodhisattva did not take the Buddha seriously. For example, he knew that the Buddha was dissatisfied with the Peacock King Bodhisattva, the Mother Buddha, after all, this title was forced by the Buddhas to recognize.

If you become a Buddha, as a result, a woman jumps out of your head, who is not depressed?

Later, the Buddha's mother also gave birth to several children, which made the Buddha as uncomfortable as eating flies, a big bird as an uncle let himself have a headache, this and a few brothers, why not?

Therefore, there was the archery of King Zhu Ziguo when he was a child, how it was so coincidental that he shot at the two children of the Buddha Mother. More importantly, the child of the Buddha mother was shot, but the Buddha mother was repenting:

"After the Buddha's mother repented, she instructed him to dismantle the phoenix for three years, and he was sick."

The only thing that can make the Buddha mother repent is the Buddha, that is, to make her reflect on why she treated her two children in this way. As a result, Guanyin Bodhisattva's mount, the Golden Retriever, obeyed the orders of the Buddha's mother and secretly went down to avenge her.

It is precisely because there are so many uncertain factors in the Spirit Mountain that the Dapeng Bird obviously committed a big taboo and wanted to kill the Buddha, but he was still treated gently by the Buddha, and he also deliberately emphasized a sentence:

"I am in charge of the four major continents, and countless sentient beings look up to me, and whenever I do good deeds, I teach him to sacrifice Rukou first."

It is also because of the fear of causing public outrage by dealing with the roc bird, and his position is even more unstable, of course, there is another meaning. I am not only in charge of the Spirit Mountain now, but in the Heavenly Garden Jade Emperor, I have another identity, and I am already the master of the four major continents.

This kind of strength of the Buddha had already surpassed the Five Elders of the Five Directions who only managed one continent and had become the superior of the de facto Five Elders of the Five Directions.

In fact, when the Buddha rushed to the head of the Spirit Mountain, Taishang Laojun was not idle, remember what he said when the Erlang God fought Sun Wukong?

"A golden steel, also known as a golden steel set." When he passed the letter pass and turned Hu into a Buddha, it was even thanks to him, and sooner or later he could best defend himself. ”

Why did Taishang Laojun want to cross the Hangu Valley, why did he turn Hu into a Buddha, and who had the courage to dare to approach him?

Later, his frequent encounters with the Buddha of Rulai also showed that the Lingshan Buddha he supported was most likely the Buddha who saved Nezha, but unfortunately, when he competed with the Buddha of Rulai for the position of leader, he failed.

Well, let's go back to the topic, why would the Peach of the Queen Mother's Mother not invite the Buddha?

The reason is very simple, just like today's countries, this country has just changed its leaders through politics, and the members of the United Nations are still discussing, whether to recognize or not to recognize him as the master of the country and let him participate in the United Nations General Assembly?

And Guanyin Bodhisattva was already a person of the Heavenly Court, and it was really appropriate to get a position, but because of her poor performance in the stage of the replacement of the head of the Lingshan Mountain, the Heavenly Court was also dissatisfied with her, otherwise the handling of southern affairs would not be handed over to the Fire Virtue Star Jun.

At the same time, the Jade Emperor specially summoned the Buddha to come and descend the demon, on the one hand, he also wanted to see his true ability, on the other hand, he also wanted to see if he obeyed the command, and whether there was a chance to destroy his old nest in one fell swoop and directly achieve the purpose of cutting the domain.

Of course, there are still many questions that have not been solved, such as whether Guanyin Bodhisattva treated rulai Buddha sincerely or in a vain way? The scorpion shrewd herself stinged the Buddha, so why did the four Vajrayogini go against the will of the Buddha? What about the golden cicada?
