After the golden-winged dapeng eagle caught up with Sun Wukong, he grabbed him with a sharp claw, and Sun Wukong "wanted to leave, but he could not escape, even if he changed the law and evaded the law, it was difficult to travel back and forth: when he became bigger, he relaxed and held on; when he became smaller, he tightened his grip again", and as a result, he was captured to the cave house.
Later, although Sun Wukong escaped from the cave house, he saw that the golden-winged Dapeng eagle was powerful, but he no longer dared to challenge, so he went to the Spirit Mountain to ask Rulai for help.
Sun Wukong also did not know where to hear that the golden-winged roc eagle and Rulai were relatives, and after arriving at the Lingshan Mountain, he questioned Rulai about this matter, so Rulai told Sun Wukong a story:
When the heavens and the earth are opened and all things are born, the phoenix has the qi of intercourse and breeds peacocks and roc. Peacocks like to eat people, and when I was on the top of a snowy mountain, I cultivated a golden body, and I was accidentally swallowed by her. I wanted to come out of her door, afraid of staining her true body, but I cut open her back and stepped onto the Spirit Mountain. If he wanted to hurt her life, when he was persuaded by the Buddhas, he hurt the peacock as if he were hurting my mother, so he left him at the Spirit Mountain Meeting and made her the Buddha's mother Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva. Dapeng was born to him by a mother, so he was somewhat intimate.
Speaking of this, some people must be very curious, the peacock swallowed Rulai into the belly, why did Rulai not kill her, but instead respect her as the mother of Buddha? We can see the hint from the words of the golden-winged eagle.
The seventy-seventh time in the original work, Rulai dispatched three thousand gods and Buddhas to surrender the golden-winged roc eagle. However, to say that he was surrendering was actually to recruit an, so that he would join the Lingshan Group and no longer do evil for the demon. Unexpectedly, the golden-winged dapeng eagle did not give Rulai any face, but instead shouted: "You are holding fasting vegetables there, extremely poor and extremely bitter; I eat human flesh here, and I am infinitely used!" If you starve me, you are guilty. ”
Why is the Golden-winged Eagle so bold? Because behind him was a powerful demon group, which was the Ancient Demon Clan group created by his mother Phoenix.
This is also the reason why Rulai honors the peacock as the mother of the Buddha. The peacock and the golden-winged roc eagle are a mother compatriot, and the demon group can support the golden-winged roc eagle, will it not support the peacock? Once the peacock is killed, a big battle is difficult to avoid. Since you can't kill, instead of indulging the peacock, it is better to honor her as the mother of the Buddha.
Rulai respects the peacock as the mother of the Buddha, and the intention of balancing the demon group is obvious, if Rulai really regards the peacock as the mother of the Buddha, he himself is the Buddha, shouldn't the peacock become a Buddha? However, the peacock was only named the peacock king bodhisattva. Rulai is nothing more than using the title of a bodhisattva to control the peacock in the Spirit Mountain, so as to restrain the demon group behind her. What do you think?
