Former British Commerce Secretary Vince Cable recently made an interesting assumption: If Chinese said to the Americans, unless you repeal the Second Amendment to the US Constitution and prohibit Americans from owning guns, we will not discuss any trade issues, and we Chinese already unhappy, because seeing so many people die because of guns, Chinese can't see you like this, this is a violation of China's concept of human rights, so change your constitution! Just do it, and then we'll talk to you about trade. If China had done so, it would have been clear that sino-US trade talks would never have begun.
