Zuo Maodi (左懋第), also spelled Zhonghe (字仲和), was the son of the Dragon of the Left Left of the Ming Dynasty. Chongzhen was three years old, the second place in the township examination, and the next year, he entered the army. In March of the seventeenth year of Chongzhen, the Qing army entered the customs, and Zhu Yousong, the Prince of Fu, took the throne in Nanjing, and served zuo maodi as the right attendant of the army and the imperial envoy of the right you capital to Beijing to negotiate with the Qing court. He was unjustifiably detained and swore to die, and was eventually killed. Known as the second Wen Tianxiang, he was jointly known as the "Three Gentlemen of Laiyang at the end of the Ming Dynasty" together with Shen Xun and Jiang Xi.

According to the recollections of the Zuo clan, the Zuo Gong Ancestral Hall covers an area of more than 10 acres, 120 meters away from the north and south, 60 or 70 meters from the east to the west, the gate faces the west, there are groups of houses around it, the main hall sits north and south, there is a gate in front, and there are guest rooms (a separate courtyard) in the courtyard. In May 1935, Ding Jiamin of Weixian County (Ding Xitian, the richest man in Weixian County, whose home is now the famous Shiwat Garden in Weifang, a cultural celebrity in Jiaodong) visited all the counties of Jiaodong. In his diary, there is the following record of the Laiyang Zuo Gong Ancestral Hall: "The ancestral hall is three yang, north; the left gong faces north, the east is its servant Zuo Xia, and the west is Wang Lianzhou's attendant." The Laiyang historical materials generally say that "the main hall of the Zuo Gong Ancestral Hall sits north and faces south". Regarding the Zuo Gong Ancestral Hall, laiyang has no official document records, and the population has only passed it on, such as the area of the Zuo Gong Ancestral Hall, there are also different theories. Ding Jiamin's memories should be more reliable.
