Therefore, in many places, the land lord does not have a land temple of the Eight Classics, only a very simple statue of the land lord.
The above couplet is to write the "shabby" phase of the land lord. A small temple, said that the temple of the land lord is very small, there is not much space.

In ancient times, when petty officials had a little power, they extorted all kinds of extortion and bribery, embezzled and accepted bribes, as if they put on official robes and were superior to others, as if when they became officials, they had a "divine spirit", and they were not at the same level as the common people.
Therefore, by carefully tasting this couplet, we can feel the author's "mockery" of the ancient officialdom through the "pride" of the couplet surface, which is neat and intriguing, and can be called a masterpiece.

The couplet is written in Chengdu Wangjiang Lou (Chongli Pavilion), the language is elegant, the use of classics is exquisite, the battle is neat, the words are clear, and the case is amazing.
Wangjianglou is closely related to the female poet "Xue Tao" of the Tang Dynasty, and posterity often comes to Wangjianglou to look for the traces of female poets.
Xue Tao is known as the "Girls' School Book", and the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Jianshi said: "The girls' school book by the Wanli Bridge, the loquat flower is closed." The eyebrow sweeper is rare now, and the spring wind is always worse. ”
The author of this couplet is Liu Xianxing of the Qing Dynasty. What Shanglian wrote is what the author saw and felt when he came to Wangjiang Tower.
Xue Tao's water collection is a beautiful talk through the ages, so posterity built "Xue Tao Well" as a relic to commemorate Xue Tao.
Drawing yu fen from the ancient well corresponds to the matter of "Xue Tao drawing water".

The reason why the author links Xue Taojing in Chengdu with Tao yedu in Nanjing is because Xue Tao's identity is quite similar to peach leaves.
Xue Tao once had a vigorous love affair with the great Tang Dynasty poet Yuan Shu, and Xue Tao's identity, like the "peach leaf" with red sleeves and incense, was part of the ancient wind.
Xialian connects another cultural attraction in Chengdu, "Du Fu Caotang", with Wangjiang Tower, and the two reflect each other, reflecting the humanistic convergence of Chengdu.
The so-called "Huan Notes Leave Rhymes" refers to xue Tao's "Xue Tao notes" that have been passed down through the ages. The author believes that Xue Tao is also culturally comparable to Du Fu's poetry.
Du Fu Caotang and Wangjiang Lou are not far away, Xue Tao and Du Fu, are all "sad people of ancient times" who have fallen to the end of the world, so Xue Tao let Du Fu "concentrate on poetry" and not compete for poetry titles.
Everyone knows that in terms of strength, Xue Tao cannot be compared with Du Fu at all.
However, in the author's pen, the reason why Xue Tao is inferior to Du Fu is that Xue Tao deliberately does not show his poetic talent and deliberately lets Du Fu overcome himself.
Why is it written this way? The advantage lies in turning falsehood into truth, using fiction to write out Xue Tao's "meaning of pity" and the gentle implication of "adding incense to red sleeves".
This trait of the ancient talented woman especially attracted frustrated or unambitious literati, which was the author's beautiful fantasy of Xue Tao.
