【AI Helps the Winter Olympics】
AI technology is increasingly used in sports training, such as the previous preparation for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, the diving team and other Chinese athlete teams have used AI to assist training. At the Beijing Winter Olympics, these intelligent technologies have been more widely used.
For example, in the preparation of many national teams such as ski jumping and Nordic biathlon, the national team demonstrated the application of a multimodal biomechanics rapid feedback system for snow skill projects specially developed for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The system uses AI non-interference three-dimensional motion capture, ultra-wideband precision positioning test, Beidou navigation, high-speed motion automatic follow-up robot, UAV photography and other technologies to systematically analyze the athletes' sliding, jumping, flying and landing postures, accurately measure the starting height and other indicators, and provide scientific data support for coaches and athletes to adjust the training program.
The Chinese national team also used a personalized large database analysis and diagnosis system in its preparation. The system assists athletes in skill enhancement training by establishing champion models of high-level athletes that include morphological, functional, physical/psychological qualities, etc.
