Chronic Liver Disease Alliance Expert Group
Officially established
On May 11, the inaugural meeting of the Expert Group of the Chronic Liver Disease Alliance of the Health Development Research Center of the National Health Commission, sponsored by the Health Development Research Center of the National Health Commission, undertaken by Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, and supported by the Liver Health Alliance (CHESS), was held in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. Teng Gaojun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University, and Fu Qiang, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Health Development Research Center of the National Health Commission, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
At the inaugural meeting, Director Fu Qiang presented the honorary team leader certificate to Teng Gaojun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University, and Qi Xiaolong, a young scholar of the "Changjiang Scholars" of the Ministry of Education and assistant to the president of Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University.
Chronic diseases are one of the main diseases affecting the health of the people in the mainland, of which the number of people with chronic liver diseases exceeds 447 million, and the number of people with chronic advanced liver diseases exceeds 30 million. To promote the construction of a healthy China by strengthening the management of chronic liver diseases, it is necessary to realize the transformation from treatment-centered to health-centered, explore a new path for the management of chronic advanced liver disease empowered by science and technology, innovate a new model for the prevention and control of chronic advanced liver disease, and promote the high-quality development of chronic liver disease management from the aspects of policy environment, discipline construction, and talent training. In this context, the Health Development Research Center of the National Health Commission takes the construction of the chronic liver disease alliance under the integrated service system as the starting point, and takes the cooperation mechanism of "resource sharing, upper and lower linkage, and complementary advantages" as the cooperation mechanism, aiming to provide a life-cycle diagnosis and treatment service system for the chronic advanced liver disease population in mainland China.
