Qin Guan was a famous euphemism poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, and many of his works expressed euphemisms, delicately showing inner sorrow and loneliness, and many love words were described in a lingering and compassionate manner, which was touching to read.

However, Caizi also wrote some ancient poems, but compared to his lyrics, the achievements are not very prominent. The poem was written when the poet was young, when he was not yet a career and lived a leisurely life of cultivation and reading in his hometown. The first eight sentences paint a picture of rural life in winter: the weather is harsh, the grass and trees are withered, but the neighbors have plenty of time to relax. In the empty garden, birds such as crows and sparrows fell to their knees (diǎn diǎn), competing to peck at the grains of the ground, not caring whether there was anyone next to them. The next eight sentences show the joy of the Tian family: during the agricultural leisure time, everyone invites each other's fathers and fellow villagers to their homes. Everyone sat around, drank and chatted, summed up the harvest of the year, and looked forward to the harvest of the coming year. Class sitting, refers to sitting sequentially;

The enthusiastic host presents his best food with a clay plate, "bamboo stick shy chicken moxibustion", which also highlights the unique flavor of the Tian family. The last two sentences end with a jingyu, which is even more endless. The moon hangs high branches, the night is dark, the lights in the hut gradually dimmed, and the north wind outside the firewood gate is bitingly cold. The guests dispersed slowly, and the host's house was quiet, the stars twinkling in the cold night sky, and they seemed to be whispering excitedly.

Qin Guan must have fully experienced the life of the peasant family, so that he could so delicately depict the vivid picture of the villagers sitting around and drinking. If Tao Yuanming of the Jin Dynasty read such a poem, he would also praise it. If Meng Haoran of the Tang Dynasty could be reborn, he would inevitably praise Shaoyou for being fearful in his future life.

This ancient poem of Qin Guan is rich in imagery and full of poetic feelings. The withered grass, the idle firewood carts, the empty yards, and the lonely boats by the ponds are like static beautiful pictures.
