"The Kite Chaser" is for you, thousands of times, a road to human redemption

author:Simple life is beautiful to live

Can you believe that? Sometimes, despite our constant escape, we still encounter an unexpected fate. Just as 12-year-old Amir witnessed Hassan being sexually assaulted by Assef, he saw it but did not dare to come forward to help. Twenty-six years later, Amir met Hassan's son, who was sexually abused by Assef and became Assef's dancing boy. Both father and son were sexually assaulted by the same person and both were met by Amir. Those things that escaped reappeared before him in another form. The good and evil of this world is a cycle of human nature, and fate makes Amir choose again.

As Amir himself said: I was 12 years old. I distinctly remember lying behind a collapsed mud wall, peering into the alley next to the frozen stream. Many years have passed, and people say that old things can be buried, but I finally understand that this is wrong, because the past will climb up on its own. Looking back, I realize that for the past 26 years, I have been peering into the deserted path. Maybe I stood there for less than a minute, but to this day it's still the longest minute of my life. Time passes by second by second, and between one second and one second, there seems to be eternity. ”

The kite chaser tells the story of Amir, a wealthy Afghan young master, and his servant Hassan.

They grew up drinking the milk of the same nursing lady, who was the young master Amir and who was the servant Hassan. Hassan never refused anything from Amir. Before the age of 12, they were intimate and brotherly, but after a kite competition, a tragic thing happened that broke everything. Hassan, in order to ensure that the trophy kite, a symbol of the honor of the rich and the young, was handed over to Amir intact, and was violently sexually assaulted by several slightly older Assefs in front of the collapsed mud wall. Amir, who had been a playmate since childhood, was lying behind the collapsed mud wall, witnessing the whole process, but selfishly and timidly choosing to save himself.

Hassan, upright, kind, and hot, was a servant of amir's family. He had reservations, was responsive, loyal and sincere to Amir. The first words he uttered after birth and the first sentence were Amir's name. Every time he stepped forward to protect Amir in the face of danger. He said to Amir, for you, a thousand times. Hassan thought Amir would be like him.

Amir, sensitive, timid, and eager for his father's approval. He never admitted that Hassan was his friend, even though they had been playing together since childhood. He refused to acknowledge Hassan's bravery and excellence, even though he protected him a thousand times. He did not have the courage to face Hassan after the sexual assault, even though he felt remorse and pain for his cowardice and selfishness, thousands of times.

Hassan, who figured it out alone afterwards, didn't blame Amir. Hassan forgave Amir. Hassan wanted to go back to the way they used to be. Hassan is working to repair the growing tension between them. However, Amir was weak-hearted. Timid. He'd rather Hassan beat him up, and he couldn't look directly at his own soul that was no longer clean. He was scared. He dodged and escaped. Until Amir bitterly blamed hassan. Until the war caused Amir to leave the United States. Each of them lived a difficult life in the years of war with the bitterness of the failure to reconcile.

At this moment, the two boys in my mind, one of whom is emotionally and morally wobbly, is wavering; the other is simple, loyal, pure and upright, but suffers war and humanity in war-torn Afghanistan.

As an adult, Amir has always fallen into the nightmare behind the collapsing mud wall, thousands of times.

As an adult, Hassan still has a hard time maintaining his good nature in war-torn Afghanistan with gratitude for his family.

However, the gears of fate have not been kind to good people. And there is really an evil person in this world, who will never get better, only more evil.

Years later Hassan's son was swept up, and the evil man who had sexually assaulted Hassan hurt Hassan's son in the same or even more cruel way.

To atone for his sins, Amir once again set foot in Afghanistan, which had left more than two decades of war-torn regime change.

Because there's a way to be a good guy again.
