A native of Liuyang City, Hunan Province, Li Bai served as the radio director and political commissar of the Fifth Red Army, and was one of the "Three Martyrs of Radio" of our Party. On the eve of the liberation of Shanghai, he was arrested for being detected by the Kuomintang secret service for the location of the radio station. The 39-year-old Li Bai fell under the enemy's guns and died in a pool of blood before dawn. The red radio waves will never fade, and Li Bai's story will always be full of tears.
