Legendary rock star Bon Jovi sells a mansion in New Jersey for $20 million
New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi's custom property was relisted and officially listed after the re-listing. The house was first listed on the open market last February, when the listing price was not made public. In 2021, its price is $20 million.
Bon Jovi commissioned Robert A.M. Stern to design the house. Stern will continue to design some of Manhattan's prettiest residential buildings, which have a staggering 24,000-square-foot penthouse that cost nearly $250 million.
Bon Jovi's mansion, named High Point, is located on a tidal river in the town of Shrewsbury. It is known for a huge neoclassical portico, a strong manor house symmetrical branding and limestone walls.
The 18,000-square-foot interior design includes six bedrooms and at least eight bathrooms. Particularly striking rooms include the kitchen, which features segmented ceilings and formwork beams, as well as the circular living room, which is French Baroque with blue walls of wedge wood and gilded decoration.
Expansive terraces, loggias, slate-floored terraces and swimming pools are arranged in lawns that slope towards the river, a particularly fantastic feature of this 15-acre estate.
