The 7.93-kilometer-long Wunufeng Tunnel runs through the mountains and has complex natural conditions. It is the longest highway tunnel in Jilin Province and the longest tunnel in the northeast seasonal frozen area.

Wang Jian, 32, is a "guardian" of the tunnel. Managing stations and tunnels is all he does in "two points and one line". Departing every morning and evening, he spends more time in the tunnel during peak traffic on holidays. For him, every time he enters and exits the tunnel to ensure the safety of driving, it is a heavy responsibility.

On the evening of February 1, Wang Jian was on duty, and he came to the tunnel to inspect and maintain the work. He stopped in front of the firefighting equipment, and at this time, the huge air wave brought by a truck as it passed through the tunnel made him take a step back.

The Wunufeng Tunnel has a total of 319 sets of fire hydrant boxes, each of which includes a fire extinguisher box and a fire hydrant box. One of Wang Jian's jobs is to maintain fire fighting facilities. "The fire hydrant interface and the fire hose interface depend on whether there is rust or leakage, you see, there is water in the fire hydrant and it is not frozen, this is fine."

After inspecting the fire fighting facilities, Wang Jian picked up the multimeter and began to check the voltage of the monitoring distribution box, "There are a total of 221 monitoring distribution boxes in the whole tunnel, to see if these distribution boxes are faulty, and then see if the lights in the tunnel are damaged." ”

The Wunufeng Tunnel has a total of 10 cross-sectional tunnels and 21 pedestrian cross-sectional tunnels. In the middle part of the tunnel, in order to effectively alleviate the fatigue of the driver driving in the tunnel for a long time, a large LED point light source screen is also set up.

The entire Wunufeng Tunnel will take more than two hours to inspect. In addition to the Wunufeng Tunnel, Wang Jian is also responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the Mine Tunnel, gaotaizi tunnel and Yingbinling tunnel. At the end of the day, Wang Jian inspected the distance of nearly 90 kilometers.

Although he is a "post-90s", Wang Jian's work experience is very "senior", he has been working in the highway post for 12 years, from the Ying'ebu toll station, the Tonghua toll station to the Wunufeng tunnel management station, from the toll collector, the toll team leader to the mechanical and electrical maintenance staff... His "youth" spilled between the various posts on the highway.
