Population aging is an important trend in social development, and it is also the basic national conditions of the mainland for a long period of time to come. With the prosperity of the economy, the continuous improvement of medical care, and the continuous improvement of life expectancy on the mainland, the onset of geriatric diseases and the management of rehabilitation have become prominent, and Alzheimer's disease is one of them. In this regard, Huang Bin, member of the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Jinjiang District Committee of the Jiusan Society, and deputy director of the Department of Internal Medicine of the Second People's Hospital of Chengdu, brought suggestions on actively responding to the aging of society, strengthening the cognition and management of alzheimer's diseases and other diseases in grass-roots medical institutions, and building a full-age-friendly society.

Huang Bin, a member of the Chengdu Municipal COMMITTEE of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, suggested: Actively respond to the aging of society and strengthen the awareness and management of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease in grass-roots medical institutions

Huang Bin said that there is no effective treatment drug to prevent the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease or delay its progression, but early diagnosis and early treatment can effectively control the progression of the disease, and early prevention is particularly critical. A considerable number of people (including medical staff) have neglected dementia and have a negative attitude towards the prevention and treatment of diseases, resulting in delays in diagnosis and treatment.

"There are still a variety of controllable risk factors for the onset of Alzheimer's disease, including vascular-related risk factors, lifestyles, psychosocial factors, etc., as well as a variety of protective factors related to its development, including participation in social, cognitive or intellectual stimulation activities and physical exercise activities in their spare time in the middle and late years." In Huang Bin's view, paying attention to "one old and one small", preventing the occurrence of such diseases, early diagnosis, standardized treatment, rehabilitation and management of dementia patients, need to strengthen the attention of the whole society, improve the awareness of dementia, and reduce the pressure brought by dementia to the sustainable social and economic development of our city.

Huang Bin suggested that Alzheimer's disease should be gradually included in the management of chronic diseases at the grass-roots level, just like hypertension and diabetes, and suggested that relevant government departments should give input and support, formulate relevant policies, and study and formulate relevant management regulations and plans for relevant administrative departments and relevant professional experts such as health, civil affairs, public health, and medical insurance, and formulate goals in the field of care including inspection and diagnosis, evaluation and care plans, medical management, information/education and support, and supervise their implementation.

At the same time, strengthen the popularization of public health knowledge of dementia, specialists and rehabilitation physicians actively carry out vivid publicity of dementia science knowledge through public days, various media, community health bulletin boards, etc.; go deep into communities, pension institutions or organize home and pension institutions to learn relevant care related knowledge; go deep into grass-roots medical institutions or organize their medical personnel to train related knowledge and skills such as prevention, screening, early diagnosis, rehabilitation management, etc., to improve the awareness and management ability of grass-roots medical personnel on diseases.

It is necessary to gradually establish a community standardized management model for Alzheimer's disease, and formulate an individualized care plan: once dementia is diagnosed, establish patient registration and arrange timely medical treatment; under the guidance of specialists in higher-level hospitals, formulate individualized diagnosis and treatment and rehabilitation training plans for home-based elderly patients, community or institutional elderly patients, and implement them.

"Finally, a whole-process management model for the diagnosis and treatment and rehabilitation of cognitive impairment in primary medical institutions relying on the direct guidance and participation of the neuro-rehabilitation team of the community and the top three hospitals will be built to prevent the occurrence of such diseases, control the progress of dementia, improve the quality of life through rehabilitation management, and promote the construction of a full-age friendly society." Huang Bin said.
