Optimization of industrial supporting new energy vehicles have entered a new stage of accelerated development

According to the data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the 20th, in 2021, the new energy vehicles in the mainland will develop rapidly, with production and sales exceeding 3.5 million units, an increase of 1.6 times year-on-year. The person in charge of the relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in an interview with reporters that the industrial chain has been continuously improved, the supporting facilities of industries such as charging and power exchange facilities have been further optimized, and new energy vehicles have entered a new stage of accelerated development.

The convenience of charging, power exchange and other facilities has further broadened the new energy vehicle market. The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that by the end of 2021, the mainland has built a total of 75,000 charging stations, 2.617 million charging piles, and 1,298 replacement power stations.

Promote electricity sales, pile installation, and power connection in parallel in the form of data sharing, realize the business process of connecting charging facilities to one network; create smart charging piles, and realize "plug and charge, unplug and go" through ID automatic recognition... Attempts at easy charging and swapping unfold in many places.

At the same time, the power battery recycling system has been initially established. By the end of December 2021, 173 relevant enterprises had set up 10,127 recycling service outlets across the country.

From promoting new energy vehicles to the countryside to ensuring the energy consumption of production enterprises, measures to support new energy vehicles in various places have provided impetus for the rapid development of the industry.

Not long ago, the staff of State Grid Zhejiang Pinghu Power Supply Co., Ltd. came to the Pinghu Branch of Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. to check the operation status of the company's rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project and provide energy use suggestions. Relying on the Great Wall Motor project, the Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on the development of core components of new energy vehicles, automotive electronics, etc., and the power sector has also increased cooperation with the park to promote the efficiency and consumption reduction of enterprises in the industrial chain.

Make every effort to ensure the stability of the supply chain and lay a solid foundation for industrial development.

Luo Junjie, director of the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in the past year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has strengthened the docking of supply and demand and work coordination, simplified procedures under the premise of ensuring safety, and facilitated vehicle companies to quickly realize the loading application of shortage chip alternatives. With the gradual play of the market regulation mechanism, as well as the joint efforts of governments at all levels, automobile companies, and chip companies, the impact of "lack of core" in the automotive field is gradually alleviating.

Luo Junjie also said that the stability of the global integrated circuit supply chain is still facing severe challenges, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to increase the supply of automotive chips and promote the improvement of the supply capacity of the entire industrial chain of chips.

"Overall, the mainland's new energy vehicles have entered a new stage of accelerated development, and it should also be noted that industrial development is facing new situations and new problems such as increasing pressure from international competition." Guo Shougang, deputy director of the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will formulate a series of policies and measures to support the accelerated development of new energy vehicles with relevant departments, coordinate and accelerate the development of domestic lithium resources, accelerate the construction of charging and replacing infrastructure, continue to carry out new energy vehicles to the countryside, put forward higher standards and stricter requirements in terms of quality and safety, low temperature application, and fully promote industrial development to a new level.
