In the face of the continuous decline and the fact that the Chinese and even global auto markets have gradually entered the rapid development of new energy in 2021, complete electrification is the only way out for Acura in the future.
Perhaps aware of this, acura will fully enter the development of electric models after the launch of a new generation of Integra in the United States, its largest single market, and is expected to launch the first electric vehicle based on GM's Ultium platform and Ultium battery in 2024. Emile Korkor, Acura North America's vice president of sales, also said that by 2030, more than half of Acura's sales will come from electric vehicles, and "completely bypass hybrids" and directly produce pure electric vehicles.
However, it should be noted that this is the planning of the US market, whether the domestic GAC Honda wants to promote Acura to take such a radical line, and even when will Acura start the road of transformation, unfortunately there is no sign.
