I am very happy that this time I tried the Krypton 001 again, in the beautiful scenery of Xiamen, on the road, on the track and in the field.
When I was driving the Krypton 001 in Downtown Guangzhou before, I was thinking that a car with such a good chassis quality should go off the track to be tested, and I didn't expect that the dream would come true so quickly.
Not only that, this time I also tried 3 versions of The Krypton 001 in one go: the WE version of non-air suspension + rear-drive single motor opened on the city road, the WE version of non-air suspension + four-wheel drive dual motor opened in the track, and the YOU version of air suspension + four-wheel drive dual motor opened in the field.
So, in this article, we will talk about the differences in driving experience between the various versions of Extreme Kr 001, analyze which configuration is more valuable, and share my feelings about driving them down the track and running Kinkana.

Longer battery life or more power?
The configuration of the Krypton 001 is more special, we version has a total of two models, the price before subsidies are 299,900, the configuration is only the difference between power and endurance, one is equipped with a 100-degree battery pack and a rear-drive single motor, the main longer endurance, NEDC endurance can reach 712km, 0-100km/h for 6.9s; the other is equipped with an 86-degree battery pack and four-wheel drive dual motors, the main stronger power, NEDC endurance of 526km, 0-100km / h Only 3.8s.
I said before in the Guangzhou test drive after-drive version that the power of zero hundred and 6.9s is completely enough in daily use, even if the comfort mode is used, the power is on call, and overtaking within the legal speed limit is an easy thing.

However, after trying two power versions on the same field this time, I still recommend the four-wheel drive version, because the rear drive can only provide enough power, but to drive well, it must be four-wheel drive.
The all-wheel drive version of the Krypton 001 not only has significantly more power, but also offers more thrill when accelerating, but also has more driving mode options. The rear-drive version offers a choice of 4 driving modes of comfort, economy, sport and personalization, while the 4WD version adds three unique driving modes of snow, sand and off-road to meet the needs of a variety of complex roads.
Not only that, the four-wheel drive version has a different steering feel in the sport and comfort mode, the comfort mode steering feel is lighter and feels more supple, the sport mode steering feels heavier and feels more compact, and the two driving modes have more obvious differences.
The rear-drive version has only one steering feel, whether it is comfort mode or sport mode, it is heavier and tighter, and because the power reserve itself is not as strong as the four-wheel drive version, the difference between the sports mode and the comfort mode in the power experience is not as big as the four-wheel drive version.
So, for the same amount of money, instead of opting for a longer 186km battery life, it is better to choose a better power and driving experience. After all, more battery life in most daily car scenes, will not bring a significantly better experience, and stronger power and comfort mode more supple steering feel, is every step on the electric door, every turn of the steering wheel can be felt.

Is there any air suspension, how much difference?
The air suspension of the Extreme Kr 001 is indeed a configuration that people love and hate.
The love is that it does bring a better chassis texture, it is no exaggeration to say that after the air suspension, the chassis texture of the Extreme Kr 001 is comparable to the BMW 5 Series, the sense of high-grade vibration filtering, the calmness of the chassis facing various complex road conditions, as well as the suspension action and the delicacy of the sound, will make people feel that the optional price of 20,008 is worth the money.
Hate is that the optional air suspension waiting for the car is indeed too long, due to the tight supply of air suspension, some users have been waiting for more than half a year and have not mentioned the car. Previously, Extreme Krypton also launched a reassignment service, and if it wanted to pick up the car earlier, it had to give up air suspension.
So, choose not to choose air suspension, how much difference is the chassis texture of Extreme Kr 001?
In simple terms, with air suspension, the chassis will be softer, especially in comfort mode, the sense of road will be less, and the size of the vibration on the road surface can be filtered cleaner. If you're looking for extreme comfort, or have a need for light off-roading, the air suspension, which can be hard or soft, up and down, can really bring more benefits.
However, even in sport mode, the empty suspension version looks up more pronounced at sharp acceleration and does not have significantly less roll when cornering quickly. Therefore, if you pursue sportiness, air suspension will not actually bring significant improvement to this car, and generally speaking, the durability of air suspension is not as good as ordinary mechanical suspension, which may also be the reason why the official choice of this event Krypton is to use a non-empty four-wheel drive version of the running track.
Considering that the waiting time of the empty suspension version is now half a year long, I will recommend that you choose the non-empty four-wheel drive dual-motor WE version model. Even without air suspension, the chassis quality of The Krypton 001 is also at the top level at the same price, the filtration is clean and neat, and there is a good athletic ability, saving 20,000 8 optional costs and enjoying it early.
Of course, friends who are not in a hurry to use the car can also wait, and this set of air suspension is definitely worth it. It is understood that Extreme Kr is working hard to increase the supply of air suspension, and it is expected that there will be a big improvement in the second half of this year.
In terms of other optional configurations, the 4500 yuan nitrogen blue, platinum gray or titanium brown interior color matching is my most recommended, because only the interior with these 3 color matching colors has a riotous color seat belt and a more textured Alcantara material.
If the budget is sufficient, it is recommended to choose a 22-inch rim, spend more than 13,000 yuan, you can make the side shape more full, the rim design is more beautiful, the whole appearance is a higher level, the optional bag also contains four-piston calipers, I think it is worth it.
In addition, air suspension, massage seat comfort set, Yamaha audio and co-pilot seat ventilation can be selected on demand, while inductive electric doors and EC light-sensitive sky curtains are not recommended as options, the former because the software logic needs to be improved, and the latter because the waiting time is too long.

Krypton 001 Track, okay?
As mentioned earlier, this time I drove the Kr 001 to run the track and the Kinkana track race, and it is certain that whether with or without air suspension, the four-wheel drive version of the Kr 001 has a good athletic ability.
It not only has strong power, good steering feel, and such a heavy car, but also has a fairly good flexibility and stability in the corners, and the chassis limit is relatively high. For most people, the Krypton 001 is definitely a good car to drive, there is a driving pleasure, if you like to drive, drive it occasionally run the track, run the mountain, will definitely get a lot of happiness.
However, it should be noted that the Krypton 001 is not a hardcore race car for the track after all, and the weight of more than 2 tons will bring a higher load to its braking system, so it is not recommended to drive it for a long time and continuously.
For The Krypton 001, meeting the daily transportation needs is its main responsibility, in this regard, its performance has been outstanding enough, the space is large, the sound insulation is good, and the riding comfort is good.
The ability to get off the track is just the added pleasure after it meets the basic needs. Yes, it's already good.
After test driving the Krypton 001 again, my liking for it increased again, and it is indeed a car that people like more and more the more they drive. Only when you drive it, you can feel its greatest charm, and its mechanical quality can be called the "ceiling" of Chinese brand cars.
However, it cannot be ignored that there are also some problems in Extreme Kr 001 that need to be solved urgently, especially in terms of vehicle software and delivery speed, which have not yet met our expectations.
We see the imprint of the rise of Chinese brand cars in The Krypton 001, and we also see the problems that a new brand will encounter in the process of rapid development. It is hoped that Extreme Kr can continue to challenge the higher ceiling, and also hope that Extreme Kr will not forget the original intention of building a user enterprise and provide users with better products and services in a down-to-earth manner.
