During 2021, Wanning Surfing entered the campus smoothly, with a total of 45 training schools and about 5,000 students trained, covering 84% of the entire Wanning public schools. Since 2010, Riyue bay has successfully held the 11th Wanning International Surfing Competition, as well as settled in a number of top surfing competitions at home and abroad, attracting more than 40 countries and more than 2,000 world's top athletes to participate. In 2017, the surfing national team training base was officially established in Wanning Riyue Bay; in June 2020, the General Administration of Sport awarded the "National Sports Training South Base - Hainan Wanning Surfing"; in September 2021, the 14th National Games Surfing Competition was held in Wanning, and the Hainan Surfing Team won 2 gold and 1 silver in the first surfing event of the National Games, with gratifying results.
