After three days of cooling, Suining, Sichuan ushered in a wave of temperature warming. On the 14th of October, the Hongyuan Professional Pigeon Club decided to start the first leg of the 430km race.
1,562 pigeons were released at 8:08 a.m., but only one pigeon arrived home that day. The pigeon arrived home at 22:59 that night, and I believe that when the pigeon was released, he would never have imagined that this race would be so difficult.
As of 9:20 a.m. on 15th of October, 74 pigeons arrived home and are still on their way.
Is it the weather? This year, the weather in many places is abnormal, taking Chengdu as an example, the high temperature in summer continues, many places are forced to cut off power, and recently ushered in a significant cooling.
The author checked yesterday's race in Sichuan, and there was more than one affected by the weather: Chongzhou Anren Pigeon Racing Autumn Derby Tour Qinling Finals, Dongchang Pigeon Club 2024 Autumn SpecialQinling Finals, and there were no pigeons returning home that day.
