Since 2021, rumors about Apple's "Apple Car" electric vehicle manufacturing plan have spread across the market, and various signs show that Apple's layout in this area is accelerating, which can be seen from its recent frequent visits to major Suppliers in Asia. Interestingly, in the Korean market, some suppliers have begun to prepare for the entry into Apple's automotive supply chain.

According to The Korean media OUTLETNews, some Korean suppliers have set up working groups specifically for Apple's car-making plans to actively respond to the various demanding needs of this big customer in the future. In an interview with the media, a source pointed out that Apple plans to provide equity investment to at least one Korean electronic parts manufacturer in exchange for the goal of doubling production capacity.
In fact, as early as September 2021, the news that Apple was looking for foundries and raw material suppliers had already come out, when Apple visited a number of automakers in South Korea and Japan, including Toyota Motor, SK Group and LG Electronics. Among them, Apple seems to be more interested in South Korea's battery manufacturing industry, and apple reportedly discussed some issues with LG and SK about electric vehicle batteries and demanded direct development and manufacture of battery materials for Apple cars and strict confidentiality.
Judging from the previously exposed multi-party market news, Apple seems to want to let the "Apple Car" enter the production stage in 2024, and plans to carry a new generation of battery technology on the car. But there are also sources from the supply chain that Apple's prototype has been tested in California and is expected to be released in September this year — two years earlier than originally planned. As for whether Apple chose to use more powerful technology and delay the release, or whether it wanted to take advantage of the new energy concept fire to push the Apple Car to the market, it is still unknown.
