It is understood that Apple is looking for auto parts suppliers with large-scale production experience to provide core components for car manufacturing.

In order to double the production capacity of suppliers, according to people familiar with the matter, Apple even made equity investments in parts suppliers, and some suppliers even set up "wartime groups" specifically to respond to Apple's requirements.

It is reported that Apple's discussions with South Korean parts suppliers are still in their early stages, so suppliers have not obtained exact information about vehicle parameters. But after many previous storms, suppliers have also realized how much Apple attaches importance to the car project, and once the information is leaked, it is likely to be excluded from the shortlist.

Previously, Apple had rumors with Hyundai Motor Group that the cooperation model tended to be assembled by Apple to purchase parts for Hyundai, but Apple always did not comment on this, and finally the rumors could not be stopped, and Apple Car was delayed.

Despite the confusion of vehicle information, we know from suppliers that Apple plans to continue project discussions through online meetings and expects to finalize the list of auto parts suppliers by the end of 2022. As one of the important components of electric vehicles, the production of power batteries has become more and more important, and Apple Automobile has also taken a fancy to South Korea's battery production capacity, and discussed the development and production of electric vehicle power batteries with suppliers such as LG and SK. According to Apple's plan, it is hoped that suppliers can directly develop and produce Apple car battery materials, and this is strictly confidential. The high concentration of control has also made it difficult for some battery suppliers to accept, so they have rejected the opportunity to work with Apple.
