Wang Weiming introduced that in 2021, in order to cope with the shortage of automotive chips and the impact of the domestic epidemic scatter outbreak on the industrial chain supply chain, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology set up a working group for the promotion and application of automotive semiconductors, a special class to ensure the stable production of automobile enterprises, and help enterprises stabilize the industrial chain supply chain by building a supply and demand docking platform, and implement access management and convenience service measures such as "tolerant of defect acceptance, first do and then make up"; dynamically track the situation of key material guarantees, and establish a central and local coordination mechanism to promote the solution of key parts and components breakpoint problems.

Wang Weiming revealed that in 2021, China's new energy vehicle sales reached 3.521 million units, an increase of 1.6 times year-on-year, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years; the market for passenger cars equipped with combined driving assistance systems accounted for 20%. At the same time, the sustainable development ability is further enhanced, the energy density of the power battery cell is close to 300 watt-hours / kg, the system energy density is more than 200 watt-hours / kg, the intelligent networked vehicle on-board basic computing platform realizes the loading application, and the computing power of the artificial intelligence chip has reached the international advanced level.

Wang Weiming also introduced the brand building and international development of the automotive industry, the data show that in 2021, the cumulative sales of Chinese brand passenger cars were 9.543 million units, an increase of 23.1% year-on-year, and the market share reached 44.4%, an increase of 6 percentage points year-on-year; the export of complete vehicles was 2.015 million units, an increase of 1 times year-on-year, a record high.

In addition, in terms of industry management system and industrial development environment, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Opinions on Strengthening the Management of Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Access", which put forward management requirements such as software upgrades, functional safety and expected functional safety, and strengthened automotive data security and network security supervision. Form a multi-dimensional supervision and inspection system that organically combines flight inspection of the maintenance of enterprise access conditions, supervision and inspection of product production consistency, verification of letters and visits, and supervision of "big data" of credit information. Publish two batches of special publicity enterprise lists, and centrally publish the list of road motor vehicle production enterprises included in special publicity.
