The "14th Five-Year Plan" Robot Industry Development Plan issued The density of manufacturing robots will double

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other 15 departments issued the "14th Five-Year" Robot Industry Development Plan. At a press conference held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology a few days ago, Wang Weiming, director of the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that the overall scale of China's robot industry has grown rapidly, and the operating income in 2020 will exceed 100 billion yuan for the first time, and industrial robots have been widely used in 143 industries in 52 industries in the national economy. However, compared with the advanced level of foreign countries, there are still problems such as insufficient technology accumulation, weak industrial base, and lack of high-end supply.

In order to further promote the robot industry to move towards the middle and high-end, the "Planning" proposes that by 2025, China will become the source of global robot technology innovation, a high-end manufacturing agglomeration and a new highland for integrated applications. The average annual growth rate of the operating income of the robot industry is more than 20%; a number of leading enterprises with international competitiveness and a large number of specialized and specialized new "small giant" enterprises with strong innovation ability and good growth have been formed, and 3 to 5 industrial clusters with international influence have been built; the density of manufacturing robots has doubled.

"To achieve the above goals, we should work together from both the supply and demand sides." Wang Hong, deputy director of the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, suggested that it is necessary to strengthen the key core technology of robots, make up for the shortcomings of special materials, core components, processing processes, etc.; face the needs of key industries, gather superior resources, promote the development of high-end robot products, expand robot product series and types, and improve performance, quality and safety; implement "robot +" application actions, organize accurate docking of production and demand, and promote the development of typical application scenarios of robots.

In response to the "robot +" application action proposed in the "Planning", Wang Hong believes that we should focus on developing and promoting new robot products and opening up high-end application markets in the fields of automobiles, electronics, machinery, warehousing and logistics that have formed a large scale. In mining, agriculture, electric power, emergency rescue and other areas where initial applications and potential demand are relatively strong, develop robot products and solutions, carry out pilot demonstrations, and expand application space. In specific subdivision scenarios, links and fields such as sanitary ware, ceramics, hardware, furniture, etc., professional and customized solutions are formed and copied and promoted to create a characteristic service brand.

How to enhance the innovation ability of China's robot industry? Song Xiaogang, executive director of the China Robot Industry Alliance, believes that the top priority is to strengthen the core technology research. Breakthrough in common technologies such as robot system development and operating system; research and development of cutting-edge technologies such as bionic perception and cognition. At the same time, it is necessary to give play to the role of research and development institutions such as key laboratories of robotics, engineering (technology) research centers, and innovation centers, strengthen cutting-edge and common technology research, and accelerate the transformation of achievements. "It is necessary to encourage backbone enterprises to jointly carry out collaborative research and development of robots to improve the efficiency of new product research and development; promote the integration and application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, big data, and cloud computing, and improve the level of robot intelligence and networking." Song Xiaogang said. (Economic Daily reporter Li Pengda)
