Yangtze River Daily Wuhan client, April 30 (reporter Qin Jing) The bowl mouth thick mechanical arm 360 degrees flexible steering, clamp up the irregular workpiece less than the size of the palm, and complete the polishing within 10 seconds. The robot, which polishes auto parts such as Dongfeng and Dongfeng, is produced by Du Ruibo Robot (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., a small and micro enterprise with only 9 employees in Hanyang.

"Eight of our 9-person team are pure technicians, covering five professional fields of machinery, electrical, algorithms, assembly, and commissioning, which is enough to meet the needs of all aspects of a non-standardized industrial robot project." Zheng Xujun, head of Du Ruibo, said.

In the production workshop of Du Ruibo, the reporter saw a fully enclosed industrial grinding machine station with the same specifications as that applied in the Dongfeng powder metallurgy project. The one-man tall robotic arm in the station gently "picks up" an irregular workpiece half the size of a palm, turns several times in a row, and points the gap on the workpiece that is less than the thickness of a small finger to the grinding head, and then begins to move slowly to grind. At the outlet, the burrs on the finished workpiece have disappeared, and the shape is completely undamaged.

"The electric floating head on the grinding head has Du Ruibo's patented technology, which has a more flexible force adjustment range than the pneumatic floating head, and can flexibly adjust the grinding force with the workpiece. The robotic arm that grasps the workpiece has 6 steering axes, which can flip the workpiece to any angle like a manual operation. The 'two hands' work together to provide an industrial grinding machine station with both flexibility and stability. Zheng Xujun said that with the help of this industrial grinding machine station, the defective product rate of the project has dropped from 7% to 0.3%.

Since the establishment of the company in 2013, all kinds of grinding robots/assembly line robots/palletizing robots produced by Du Ruibo have been applied to nearly 100 industrial scenarios. In the DPCA plastic parts supplier enterprise, a 2013 Du Ruibo industrial grinding robot is still grinding the glass fiber front-end module of Citroën C5/Peugeot 508 and other models, and it takes only 5 minutes for a worker to finish the workpiece in 40 minutes.

"In 2019, this line added a new product that is completely different from the polishing part of the original product, but after the debugging of the Du Ruibo team, the workers only need to click on the corresponding scheme on the screen, and the robot can still complete the task automatically." The staff who are using the equipment said that the robot can work continuously for 9 years in an uncomfortable environment full of glass fibers, and can also adjust in time according to changes in the product line, which has obvious advantages over manual labor.

Today, Du Ruibo is also developing non-standardized industrial robots that adapt to the special needs of more scenarios, "for example, we will also try to combine the intelligent identification system with the grinding robot, and then install the robot with "eyes" to automatically identify the workpiece and select the grinding scheme." The human handbook is the most flexible, but with 9 years of experience and innovation, robots will be more intelligent. Zheng Xujun said.
