Recently, under the guidance of the China Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance, led by Baidu, and jointly drafted by the Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Shenzhen Zhilian Innovation Center, Tongji University, Saimu Technology, Jinlong Bus, Hunan Xiangjiang Intelligence, ZTE, Geely Automobile and other units, the "Autonomous Bus" series of group logos was officially released. The series of standards includes two parts: "Autonomous Bus Part 1: Technical Requirements for Vehicle Operation" and "Autonomous Bus Part 2: Automatic Driving Capability Test Methods and Requirements", which mainly regulate the technical requirements of autonomous buses in vehicle basic safety, information security, operational safety, and automatic driving capability testing.

"Part 1: Technical Requirements for Vehicle Operation" escorts the operation of L4 buses, and strives to achieve safety upgrades and efficiency upgrades for passenger services for autonomous buses.

"Part 2: Autonomous Driving Capability Test Methods and Requirements" puts forward clear test requirements and methods for the driving automation ability of autonomous buses, and realizes the comprehensive verification of vehicle driving automation ability through a complete combination of site and road tests.

As the lead unit of this series of standards, Baidu continues to upgrade the product capabilities of autonomous buses while leading the standardization of the industry, adhering to the service concept of safety, convenience, efficiency and peace of mind, and providing passengers with public transportation travel services with omni-channel entrance and all-weather operation. In Baidu's current Robobus demonstration application, passengers can understand the surrounding road conditions and vehicle driving behavior in real time through high-definition screens and voice broadcasts after boarding the car at a fixed station, and immersively experience the safety, comfort and technology brought by automatic driving. Through the external screen of the vehicle, Baidu driverless buses can interact with other road vehicles outside the vehicle at any time, share the driving information in real time, and also combine the display of V2X signal light information to maximize the intelligence of bicycles to other vehicles and contribute to the public safety of road traffic.
