It is reported that the series of standards includes two parts: "Autonomous Bus Part 1: Vehicle Operation Technical Requirements" and "Autonomous Bus Part 2: Automatic Driving Capability Test Methods and Requirements", which mainly regulate the technical requirements of autonomous buses in vehicle basic safety, information security, operational safety, and automatic driving capability testing.
It is understood that the China Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance is initiated by 45 large enterprises, including Intel, Volkswagen, China Telecom, Huawei, AutoNavi Software, Wanji, Jinyi and other large intelligent transportation enterprises, and the industry covers communications, automotive, automotive electronics, traffic management and other fields. The alliance will carry out the standardization of four aspects of cooperative intelligent transportation, on-board information services and safety, intelligent buses, and portable mobile terminals to support traffic information services, and build an alliance test and test platform.
Specifically, the goal of "Part 1: Technical Requirements for Vehicle Operation" is to escort the operation of L4 buses and strive to achieve the safety and efficiency upgrades of autonomous bus passenger services. "Part 2: Autonomous Driving Capability Test Methods and Requirements" puts forward clear test requirements and methods for the driving automation ability of autonomous buses, and realizes the comprehensive verification of vehicle driving automation ability through a complete combination of site and road tests. Baidu said that as the industry's first series of autonomous bus standards, the release of this series of standards will continue to guide various autonomous bus research and development enterprises to improve their product technical capabilities and safety levels.
At present, Baidu's self-driving bus "Robobus" has begun full commercial operation in Yongchuan District, Chongqing. According to the official information, in Baidu's current Robobus demonstration application, passengers can understand the surrounding road conditions and vehicle driving behavior in real time through high-definition screens and voice broadcasts after getting on the bus at a fixed station, and immerse themselves in the safety and comfort and sense of technology brought by automatic driving. And through the external screen of the vehicle, Baidu driverless buses can interact with other road vehicles outside the vehicle at any time, share the driving information in real time, and also combine the display of V2X signal light information to intelligently empower other vehicles.
