Songguo Finance was informed that according to the news of Titanium Media App on January 5, recently, under the guidance of the China Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance, led by Baidu, the "Autonomous Bus" series of group standards jointly drafted by the United Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Shenzhen Zhilian Innovation Center, Tongji University, Saimu Technology, Xiamen Golden Dragon, Hunan Xiangjiang Intelligence, ZTE, Geely Automobile and other units was officially released.

The series of standards includes two parts: "Autonomous Bus Part 1: Technical Requirements for Vehicle Operation" and "Autonomous Bus Part 2: Automatic Driving Capability Test Methods and Requirements", which mainly regulate the technical requirements of autonomous buses in vehicle basic safety, information security, operational safety, and automatic driving capability testing.

In Baidu's current Robobus demonstration application, passengers can understand the surrounding road conditions and vehicle driving behavior in real time through high-definition screens and voice broadcasts after boarding the car at a fixed station, and immerse themselves in the safety, comfort and technology brought by automatic driving. Through the external screen of the vehicle, Baidu driverless buses can interact with other road vehicles outside the vehicle at any time, share the driving information in real time, and also combine the display of V2X signal light information to maximize the intelligence of bicycles to other vehicles and contribute to the public safety of road traffic.

As the industry's first series of autonomous bus standards, the release of this series of standards will continue to guide various autonomous bus R&D enterprises to improve their product technical capabilities and safety levels, and provide a solid compliance reference foundation for further accelerating the large-scale application of autonomous buses and accelerating the full commercialization of high-level automatic driving technology.

Baidu began to lay out a long time ago, and in the second quarter of 2021, the financial report showed that as of June 2021, the number of cities covered by Apollo ACE intelligent transportation signing tens of millions of orders increased to 20, which was 4 times that of the same period last year.

As the earliest enterprise in China to invest in autonomous driving research and development, in the past few years, Baidu's R&D investment ratio has always remained above 15%, and the proportion of core R&D expenses in revenue in 2020 has reached 21.4%, ranking the forefront of China's large-scale technology Internet companies.
