News on January 11, Microsoft released several new job postings show that the company's mixed reality team set up a studio called Vortex and is looking for senior designers and software engineers for it. It is reported that the studio's goal is to explore product prospects, as well as scenes such as collaboration, earth protection, entertainment and so on, to promote the future of mixed reality technology.

Microsoft said that the Vortex senior designer position will work with designers, engineers and project managers to combine virtual and real design with UX to develop lasting experience content for HoloLens and VR.

According to Qingting.com, Vortex Studio will develop a mixed reality product, which is characterized by a combination of durable virtual and physical locations, compatible with HoloLens and VR, and will lay the foundation for a new interactive entertainment. It sounds like the studio is going to build an interactive LBS AR/VR app, or something like Pokémon Go.

In fact, Microsoft's Azure spatial anchor feature and remote rendering applications are just the right place to provide an excellent infrastructure for persistent LBS AR/VR, allowing multiple users to share AR virtual images in the same location.
