The developers of the Flat2VR community have teamed up to launch the World of Warcraft VR mod "WoVR", which allows players to experience the classic MMO in first-person VR mode. Version 1.0 of WoVR has been released on github and currently supports World of Warcraft version 3.3.5a, which is Lich King Nostalgia.

WoVR was co-created by Streetrat and Marulu and has been in development on and off for more than a decade. It was originally (2013) a mod for the Oculus DK1 and later added to Flat2VR. WoVR has mature features to meet the various needs of players, including head-tracking audio, motion simulation, etc., and World of Warcraft in VR mode plays more like a first-person shooter game.

The Flat2VR community has released unofficial VR versions of games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring, and VR Warcraft has also not been officially licensed, so there are certain risks in using it. In addition, WoVR currently only supports the Lich King version, and the Official, Permanent, and Exploration Season servers are not yet available.
