Recently, the first batch of Service Support Personnel of Zhongtong Bus for the Winter Olympics departed from Liaocheng, Shandong Province, and rushed to the Zhangjiakou Division of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and the 40 Zhongtong hydrogen fuel buses they needed to guarantee arrived in Zhangjiakou City in two batches in September and October 2021. During the Winter Olympics, these buses will mainly serve the media group passengers, and the route will be from Zhangjiakou Olympic Village to Chongli South High-speed Railway Station.
"This batch of cars is the fourth generation of fuel cell buses we have developed, which have greatly improved in terms of mileage and reliability, and can currently travel more than 500 kilometers with hydrogen." Wang Baolong, product manager of Zhongtong Bus Fuel Cell Project, introduced.
These buses have been strictly checked in the whole process of production, equipped with a full range of intelligent driving assistance equipment including ADAS, etc., and the N95 healthy cockpit standard has been achieved in the car, whether it is anti-low temperature, safety performance or comfort, it has been comprehensively improved.
"In view of the cold environment of Zhangjiakou, we have focused on the low temperature adaptability of the body and the thermal insulation performance in the carriage, and achieved low temperature operation of -35 °C and the thermal insulation effect of more than 10 °C in the car." Wang Baolong said.
The vehicle is also equipped with air purification and disinfection devices, temperature monitors, etc., which play a role in epidemic protection, and at the same time, it is also equipped with a vehicle sprinkler system, smoke detection alarm, etc., and the safety performance is further improved. "In terms of humanization, the whole vehicle has also been improved, and the whole vehicle is equipped with a disabled pedal, which can be used by special groups of people during the Paralympic Games, and in addition, it is also equipped with on-board WiFi, which can be convenient for passengers and domestic and foreign media." Wang Baolong introduced.
From the beginning of November to the end of December 2021, after more than 50 days of testing, these hydrogen fuel buses successfully passed the tests. After entering the Zhangjiakou race area, the technicians will also conduct a systematic inspection of the whole vehicle to ensure that it is successfully put into use during the event.
"We have organized three support teams, of which the on-site support team is composed of more than 30 professional and technical experts, and at the same time we have organized 13 technical support experts in the rear for remote technical support services, and we have also organized logistics support accessories and service teams to do a good job in logistical support to ensure zero anchorage, zero failure, and do what we can to help the Olympics!" Yuan Guanghui, director of the customer service center of Zhongtong Bus, said.
