In terms of hydrogen energy applications, Li Gaopeng said: "The mainland hydrogen energy development route has distinct characteristics, through demonstration projects, driving core technology breakthroughs, and gradually realizing the independent and controllable industrial chain, and the market-oriented development of hydrogen energy is maturing." Yutong will take bus products as the first opportunity, adhere to the card, passenger and simultaneous, and drive the products of all fields of commercial vehicles to the hydrogen era. ”

In terms of buses, in 2014, Yutong obtained the first fuel cell bus qualification certification in China, and completed the research and development of three generations of hydrogen fuel bus products; in 2021, Yutong fuel cell truck production qualification was officially approved, and the development of heavy traction, urban dumping/mixing, sanitation, logistics and other product samples was successfully completed, and the layout was increasingly perfect.

At present, after three generations of product iterative research and development, the new generation of Yutong hydrogen fuel cell bus products have achieved remarkable results in terms of "system service life improvement, vehicle energy consumption reduction, low temperature start", etc., and have fully met the diversified environmental operation needs of plains, mountains and plateaus.

In Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and other regions, Yutong batch fuel cell buses have been put into operation, the safe operating mileage has exceeded 35 million kilometers; it is worth mentioning that under the actual working conditions in various places, the hydrogen consumption of Yutong's 10 meters and 12 meters models has dropped to less than 5kg/100km.

In this regard, Li Gaopeng suggested that we should further clarify the competent departments for hydrogen energy, speed up the approval process, increase subsidies for fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen refueling stations, expand the scale of the industry, and attract more consumers and operators to enter the market.

At the same time, in the field of catalysts, proton membranes and other card necks, Li Gaopeng suggested that special funds should be set up to strengthen the coordination of "production, learning and research", quickly break through key core technologies such as vehicle life and high-power fuel cells, and comprehensively help the autonomy and high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry chain.
