In an effort to achieve "green Olympics", the Beijing Winter Olympics use a large number of green vehicles such as hydrogen fuel, pure electric, hybrid and natural gas. As the guarantee car for the Winter Olympic Games, 950 Yutong buses have won praise from all parties for their performance of "zero failure, zero delay and zero complaints". In particular, 185 Yutong hydrogen fuel buses, in the service guarantee of the core areas of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, with a 100% attendance rate, to cope with complex road conditions such as low temperature, snowfall, and mountainous areas, have accumulated more than 500,000 kilometers, performed more than 4,000 pick-up and drop-off tasks, picked up and dropped off 100,000 passengers, and won praise from many parties for their performance such as smooth operation, low noise, long endurance, low hydrogen consumption, and cold start, and handed over a bright "green report card".
It is understood that the 185 Yutong hydrogen fuel buses are operated by the State Power Investment Group Hydrogen Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Zhangjiakou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd., distributed in three divisions, all of which are core areas and important connection routes, providing transportation services for athletes, staff and spectators.
"We have a total of 150 hydrogen fuel buses put into actual operation, of which 100 are Yutong, all of which are on duty." Chen Ping, assistant general manager and technical director of the State Power Investment Hydrogen Energy Company, said in an interview with reporters that within the closed loop of Yanqing Division, the company invested a total of 50 hydrogen fuel buses, all of which were Yutong, and another 50 Yutong hydrogen fuel buses participated in the audience connection in Beijing city, and passengers gave a high evaluation.
In the Zhangjiakou race area, according to Huo Junqing, deputy general manager of Zhangjiakou Bus, the company has a total of 357 hydrogen fuel buses serving the Winter Olympics, of which 85 hydrogen fuel buses in Yutong, all in the core area, are vehicles that operate daily on the bus line, and perform well in terms of safety, comfort, driving experience, mileage and energy consumption.
Yutong's good performance is inseparable from the preparation of "pre-service service". As early as the beginning of 2021, Yutong has begun to formulate an exclusive service guarantee plan for the event, and has formed a support team of more than 60 people, from parts support, full vehicle inspection, stationed service, driver safety training, emergency treatment and other all-round planning.
According to Li Zhengqing, head of yutong bus Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei after-sales service, in various divisions, Yutong service team adheres to three "24 hours", that is, all staff are on standby 24 hours a day, and the personnel of each station are assigned to perform tasks in 24 hours to ensure that drivers can find Yutong support personnel at any time 24 hours. Team members are busy until the early hours of the morning or even all night long, walking up to 20,000 steps (about 15 kilometers) a day.
