On May 19, Renault will unveil a new concept car that will represent its concept of a sustainable future, namely an internal combustion engine powered by hydrogen. Renault announced that the concept car will be unveiled at the ChangeNOW 2022, which opened in France at 15:00 Beijing time on May 19.
In February, Renault first announced the hydrogen-fueled concept car at its 2021 financial results meeting, which the company said "embodies the Group's vision and commitment to sustainability."
Until now, information and pictures of new cars have been limited. Renault has released two teasers showing the front profile and light set of the concept car, as well as the illuminated logo on the B-pillar. We can see that the front design elements of the new car are still highly compatible with the latest Renault family design, including the curved cabin canopy, the four-eye headlight group and the triangular fog light area design.
It is worth mentioning that Renault's concept car is not a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, but uses a hydrogen fuel internal combustion engine, similar to Toyota's recently developed corolla and Yaris equipped with hydrogen fuel engines.
