This remark was not the abbot's own idea, but came from the Northern Song Dynasty Ouyang Xiu's "Guitian Record".
These words did not damage the dragon's face, nor did they despise the Buddha's intention, just like the sentence "Wine and flesh pass through the intestines, the Buddha's heart remains", there is a Buddha and Buddha in his heart, although Zhu Yuanzhang did not kneel, but also sincerely worshiped the Buddha, the abbot's answer also saved the lives of all the people in the temple and avoided a disaster.
