Zhu Yuanzhang's ancestral home was not in Zhongli (Fengyang, Anhui), but in Jurong, Jiangsu (southeast of present-day Nanjing). His ancestors fled all the way to Fengyang, but their lives still did not change. Moreover, due to the identity of the outsider, there is no land, and the land can only be rented by the landlord for farming, but the year-round harvest is not enough to pay rent.
Unable to pay the rent, the landlord did not care, but instead of understanding the Zhu family, he took the opportunity to extort bamboo and then convert the rent into a usurious loan. In this way, even if it is the Zhu family's "children and grandchildren, infinite shortages" is not over
It is precisely when the child develops his body, coupled with the exhaustion of physical strength in the wild chasing cattle in the mountains, and the landlord does not bring dry food, so Zhu Zhongba's front chest is attached to his back every day.
Probably because of his frequent starvation, Zhu Yuanzhang envied the emperor's life from an early age, even if he did not know what life the emperor lived. In short, he believed that the emperor, one mighty wind, two able to eat enough, three did not have to wear torn clothes. Therefore, when there was nothing to do, Zhu Yuanzhang sat on a high pile of stones to play the "emperor", while the friends knelt down and shouted long live.
However, the worship of the little friends is conditional, even if it is to eat a bite of meat, because the children who can mix with him will not be well-off, and they are also malnourished and skinny. For example, the best friend Tang He, who is not even good at talking, may be the result of lack of nutrition.
Therefore, in order to prove that his "emperor" was not in vain, Zhu Yuanzhang roasted the landlord's calf and ate it. As a result, there was a catastrophe, and Zhu Yuanzhang was beaten half to death by a stick. Not only that, after the fight, the landlord Liu De also fell ill with hatred for the Zhu family.
In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty (1343), a drought occurred in Zhu Yuanzhang's hometown of Haozhou, and in the spring of the following year, locust plagues and plagues swept in. Within half a month, the Zhu family was on top of the pillar, and Zhu Yuanzhang's father, eldest brother, and mother died one after another. Only Zhu Yuanzhang and the second brother were spared. But the family has no money to buy coffins, and no land to bury their relatives. In desperation, Zhu Yuanzhang had to ask the main family, Liu De, for help.
Since Liu De lost the calf, he lost thirty pounds of meat in pain, and there are still two hundred and twenty pounds left. The one-meter-six looks like a leather ball. As soon as Zhu Yuanzhang entered the house, Liu De knew that "the comers are not good", and it was a violent twitch to pick up a stick and split his head and cover his face. Zhu Yuanzhang and his second brother screamed bitterly as they snatched the door and fled. The brothers returned home and knelt in front of the remains of their loved ones and cried loudly.
At this time, the neighbor Liu Jizu heard the crying, and naturally understood the reason, so he called Zhu Yuanzhang to the front, gave Zhu Yuanzhang a large number of old clothes to make a "coffin", and allowed the body to be buried in his family wasteland.
After Zhu Yuanzhang buried his family, he entered the Huangjue Temple. At the age of twenty-five, Zhu Yuanzhang finally ended his career as a monk and beggar and defected to the rebel Guo Zixing.
In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang was ripe, so he called himself emperor and established the Ming Dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang was born in cloth and cared a lot about the glory of returning to his hometown, not to mention that he had to pay tribute to the ancestral grave. Therefore, Zhu Yuanzhang, like Liu Bang in those years, returned to his hometown after many years of absence.
In a person's life, we must not forget two things, one is an enemy and the other is a benefactor. Therefore, Zhu Yuanzhang naturally thought of Liu De and Liu Jizu. To Zhu Yuanzhang's surprise, the bad guy Liu Dejian was there, and the benefactor Liu Jizu had already returned to heaven. Zhu Yuanzhang sighed with emotion, vicissitudes, and the world was uncertain.
Next, Zhu Yuanzhang treated the bully who was humiliated by the crotch in the past, and gave Liu De thirty temple lands, exempted from taxes. And for Liu Jizu, Zhu Yuanzhang was even more generous. Zhu Yuanzhang posthumously honored Liu Jizu as the Marquis of Yihui
