Edited the I Nine Song
In our real life, "monogamy" has been written into the law, which is undoubtedly the result of a social progress. However, in Chinese history, men can have "three wives and four concubines", of course, on the principle of principle, in ancient times, if men wanted to enjoy the life of "three wives and four concubines", most of them were only available to rich and noble families.
The traditional Chinese practice of "three wives and four concubines" was not until the Republic of China period, due to the influence of Western new ideas, "monogamy" began to be valued by the people of the time.

Among them, Liang Qichao put forward his own views on "monogamy", and he once wrote in the "Chronicle of Twenty-four Songs": "Monogamous World Association, I and Liuyang Shi created it. Respect public power and cut off private love, and must be used as a teacher for future generations. ”
We can find in liang qichao's writings that he was a person who advocated the practice of "monogamy", Liang Qichao was also a famous politician and thinker in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, and he was an intellectual who accepted new ideas earlier in that era.
It is precisely because Liang Qichao has been reading poetry since he was a child and is good at accepting new Western ideas that he will put forward the idea of "monogamy". But for Liang Qichao's spouse, we don't know much about it.
In 1889, the 17-year-old Liang Qichao participated in the Guangdong Township Examination, and Liang Qichao won the examination with the eighth place. At this time, Liang Qichao was brilliant and was appreciated by the chief examiner Li Duandi, who promised his cousin Li Huixian to match him.
At this time, Li Huixian was 4 years older than Liang Qi, and two years later, Liang Qichao and Li Huixian were married. Not long after, Liang Qichao returned to his hometown with Li Huixian, Liang Qichao's family was not rich, but Li Huixian did not feel disgusted. Li Huixian is interested in Liang Qichao's talent, Li Huixian in the Liang family, hard work, resentment, treatment of Liang parents is full of filial piety.
It is Li Huixian's virtuousness that has a good reputation in Liang Qichao's hometown. Later, after Liang Qichao participated in the restoration and reform of the law, after the failure of the "Hundred Days Restoration", Cixi ordered the arrest of the restorationists everywhere, and Liang Qichao took his family to live in Macau, thus escaping a disaster. Since then, Liang Qichao has begun a life of exile for more than ten years, and the trivial matters in the family have been undertaken by his wife Li Huixian one by one.
Liang Qichao was able to marry a wife like Li Huixian, which can be said to have picked up a treasure. Prior to this, Liang Qichao advocated "monogamy", but according to the "Revolutionary History", when Li Huixian and Liang Qichao got married, they also brought two two yahuan, one named Ah Hao, one called Wang Laixi, and Wang Laixi was Wang Guiquan.
Ah Hao, this person had a bad temper, and he did not listen to the call, so he was driven out by the Liang family. Wang Guiquan is smart and diligent, and is deeply liked by the Liang couple, and the affairs of the family and even the finances are controlled by her. Wang Guiquan's goodness was seen by Liang Qichao one by one, and in 1903 she became Liang Qichao's side chamber, also known as "little concubine".
Liang Qichao's practice also seems to violate the "monogamy" he advocated, but in the Republic of China period, "monogamy" was only advocated, and did not really become a social standard.
In 1924, Li Huixian became seriously ill, and at this time Wang Guiquan became pregnant with Liang Sili. Although Wang Guiquan was Liang Qichao's concubine, she was very kind to all of Liang Qichao's children, who called Li Huixian Mom and Wang Guiquan a mother.
After Li Huixian's death, Wang Guiquan treated Liang Qichao's children equally, and would not favor one over the other, and was also very attentive to the education of his children. Liang Qichao's children have been trained very well, and our most famous one is the architect Liang Sicheng.
