The Story of Guoxue Idioms (58) Breathtaking: The Diplomatic Legend of a Great Prophet (Part 2)

Traditional Chinese idioms, condensing the essence of history; winding paths, meet a different "China".

Today's Guoxue idiom story continues from the above, and continues to tell the story of Ji Zha's visit to the five major princely states - Lu, Qi, Zheng, Wei, and Jin.

In addition to the aforementioned proficiency in etiquette and musical rhythms, Ji Zha also showed amazing foresight in cordial meetings with the leaders of the various princely states and the powerful courtiers, and his "prophecies" were fulfilled one by one in the next few years, decades, and even more than a hundred years later, and their accuracy was even greater than that of the so-called Nostradamus's "Centuries" and "Push back map", "Burning Cake Song", "Plum Blossom Poem", etc.

Sima Qian praised him for "seeing the small and knowing the turbidity", which can be described as exquisite.

(Part 2) Prophecy all the way to the middle

The first stop of Jiza is Luguo.

Prophecy 1:

After Lu Guo met with his uncle Muzi (Gongsun Leopard), Ji Zha admired him. So he bluntly admonished, "I'm afraid you won't end well." Because you are good but you can't pick good people. As the zongqing of the lu country and not carefully selecting good people, misfortune will definitely fall on you. ”

outcome:

On the first day, his uncle Muzi was forced to flee. In Gengzong, he meets a woman who Muzi asks to secretly give him something to eat and to live with. Later, Muzi wanted to go to the state of Qi, and the woman sent him away crying.

After arriving in the State of Qi, Muzi married and had children again. One day, Mu Zi dreamed that the sky was about to collapse and suppress himself, and when he couldn't see that he could not support himself, he suddenly saw a person next to him, with dark skin, hunchback, deep eye sockets, and a pig's mouth, muzi shouted: "Cow, come and help me." "That's what stood up.

Later, Muzi was recalled to Lu Guo as a secretary, and The woman of Gengzong brought the child to see him, and the child turned out to be exactly the same as the "cow" in the dream, Muzi called the child "cow", and the child also agreed.

Muzi was very happy and stayed behind as a courtier, and he was very fond of him. When the clown child grew up, he was appointed to preside over the household.

But what Mu Ziwan did not expect was that this ugly "cow" man was as cunning and vicious as he looked, and the cunning and sinister of his evil methods still made people shudder to read it. Especially when his uncle Muzi was dying, the cattle pretended to let people deliver food, but all of them were secretly dumped behind their backs, and Muzi was starved and thirsty to death.

Of course, this ugly scum was finally punished as he deserved, and on his way to flee to the qi country, he was cut off by two nephews who had already waited for the net and thrown into the thorny bush.

Prophecy 2:

Ji Zha left the country of Lu and came to the state of Qi, where he met the famous Yan Zi Yan Pingzhong. Ji Zha also liked YanZi very much, and advised: "The regime of the State of Qi is about to change hands, and you should quickly hand over power and fiefdoms, so that you can avoid the coming calamities." ”

In 532 BC, the four major families of the State of Qi (Luan, Gao, Chen, and Bao) had infighting and attacked and killed each other, and after 16 years of civil strife, the political situation of the State of Qi finally calmed down.

Yan Zi was spared because heeded Ji Zha's advice and handed over his fiefs and powers through Chen Huanzi in advance.

The Story of Guoxue Idioms (58) Breathtaking: The Diplomatic Legend of a Great Prophet (Part 2)

It is worth mentioning that after Ji Zha sent an envoy to the State of Qi, on the way back, his eldest son unfortunately died and was buried between Yin Bo. In the meantime, Confucius once went to see the funeral. In the second year of the Ming Dynasty, Fu Guobi, the governor of Laiwu County, erected a monument to the "Confucius Guan Li Office" in the southeast of Kou Town.

Prophecy 3:

Ji Zha came to Zheng Guo and saw the child as he had always been. Ji Zha gave away a large white silk belt for the child production, and the child gave back sackcloth clothes.

On the occasion of parting, Ji Zha said to his son in a serious tone, "Your monarch is too extravagant, and your reign will not last long." At that time, the power of Zheng Guo will definitely fall into your hands, and I hope that you will carefully use the etiquette to handle state affairs, otherwise, you will definitely perish. ”

In 543 BC, the sons came to power. Throughout his life, he bowed down and made great contributions to the development and strength of Zheng Guo.

Probably the most familiar story is that the child does not destroy the township school. Since the fall of 2000, the character of the child's government to be wide and open to the road is still like a clear stream, triggering people's infinite fascination.

In 522 BC, the son died of illness. Zheng Guo's men, women and children all lamented the tears, such as the funeral of a concubine, even the women who love beauty no longer wear makeup, the country spontaneously stopped entertainment, and many people gathered in the folk alleys for months to mourn the birth.

Even Confucius wept bitterly and said, "The son is a benevolent person who has been handed down from ancient times." (Ancient Legacy of Love also)"

Some people are alive, he is dead. Some people are dead, he is still alive.

Sincerely.

Prophecy 4:

Ji Zha came to Weiguo and was very close to the Weiguo ministers such as Wei Wei, Shi Dog, Shi Loach, Gongzi Jing, Gong Shufa, and Gongzi Chao, and Ji Zha said: "There are many virtuous gentlemen in Weiguo, and they will certainly be spared from disasters. ”

Although the Weiguo is very weak and small, and there have been many civil strife and even catastrophes, it is interesting that after hundreds of years of ups and downs in the Spring and Autumn Warring States, even some of the once invincible princely powers have disappeared, and the Weiguo is still stubbornly surviving, becoming one of the princely states with the longest existence, with a total of 838 years before and after the founding of the country, passing on 35 monarchs.

The most cattle thing is that after the Qin state unified the world, the wei state still existed, and it was not destroyed until Qin II. The reason for this may be what Ji Zha said about the weiguo and many talents.

In addition, Confucius traveled around the world for 14 years, including 10 years in Weiguo, because there were many "gentlemen" who shared his tastes.

Vignettes:

After leaving Weiguo, Ji Zha rushed to the last stop of the trip, Jinguo.

On this day, Ji Zha was staying at Qi's ground. The sound of the bell ringing was heard by Sun Wenzi (Sun Lin's father, the grand master of Wei Guoqing in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period). Ji Za sighed and said, "I have heard that if you start a rebellion without virtue, you will definitely bring great disaster." Sun Wenzi offended the monarch and was afraid that it would not be too late, but he was looking for pleasure here. It's like a swallow making a nest on a tabernacle, and his monarch hasn't been buried yet, can that be done for long? ”

So, Ji Zha left Qidi overnight. After Sun Wenzi heard about it, he did not listen to music until his death.

Prophecy 5:

When Ji Zha came to the Jin Kingdom, he met with Zhao Wenzi, Han Xuanzi, and Han Xianzi very happily, and prophesied: "The power of the Jin State will probably gather in these three houses. ”

Seeing Shu Xiang backwards, the two were also very close. On the occasion of parting, the two cling to each other. Ji Za said, "Old friend, you have to work hard." Your monarch has many luxurious and excellent courtiers, and the doctors are also very rich, and in the next step, the power will be owned by several doctors. You like to speak up straight, and you must think carefully about the way back so that you can avoid disaster. ”

In 514 BC, Shu Xiang (Sheep Shefu (xi)) was exterminated for "aiding the rebellion".

In 403 BC, King Weilie of Zhou enfeoffed the three families of Zhao, Wei, and Han as princes. Sima Guang's chronicle of the Northern Song Dynasty, Zizhi Tongjian, begins with Yun: "Twenty-three years after King Weilie of Zhou, he initially appointed the Jin dynasty physicians Wei Si, Zhao Yuan, and Han Qian as princes..."

In 376 BC, Han, Zhao, and Wei deposed the Duke of Jing of Jin and divided up all the remaining lands of the Jin dynasty. As a result, the Jin Dynasty, a superpower of the Spring and Autumn Period that repeatedly dominated the Central Plains, became history.

The division of the three families into Jin dynasty is a major event of epoch-making significance in Chinese history and is recognized by historians as a watershed in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States.

The so-called skinny camel is bigger than a horse. After the three families were divided into Jin, the three kingdoms of Han, Zhao, and Wei still ranked among the "Seven Heroes of the Warring States".

Also, do you remember Zhao Wu," the orphan of the Zhao family? The Zhao kingdom was the foundation established by his descendants.

Stay in the green mountains, not afraid of no firewood. This is also true!

Appreciation of Sinology Classics:

Zheng Ren traveled to the township school to govern. Ran Ming said, "How about destroying a township school?" "What is it?" The lady retreated day and night to discuss the goodness of the government. He who does good, I do. Whoever he hates, I will change it. If it is my master, why destroy it? I smell loyalty and goodness to lose grievances, and I do not smell threats to prevent resentment. If you do not stop, but you will defend against the river, and if you decide what you have committed, you will hurt many people, and I will not save you. It is better to make a small decision. It is better to smell and take medicine. Ran Ming said, "Contempt is also known to my son's letter now and then." The villain is really not talented, if he does this, his Zheng Guo is really dependent on it, is it only two or three ministers? ”

Zhongni heard that it was a language, and said: "Looking at it as it is, people say that children are not benevolent, and I do not believe in it." ”
